XXVIII-III
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000613044/article/bills-planning-to-cut-mario-williams-this-offseasonPer nfl.com. It'll be interesting to see if we go all in on him. Lord knows we need all we can get at the pass rush. Not often that these types of players hit the market. I'll never forgive the organization for not signing Doom. It was like the stars aligned for him to come here, and we totally shlt the bed. hjerry
Going "all in" on a 31 year old defender is a bad idea. Now, if we're getting him for less...
DMT11
He still has some in the tank for sure - hes 30 and played out of position, he was never going to get 15 sacks with Rex but there whole defense has fallen off He wont get a huge contract but **** still get a decent one - just another player for teams needing pass rush to look at meaning more opps for us. Good news for sure.
youngbloodz
I'm going after Super Mario if I'm Atlanta. Would offer him a deal that would pay him around $8-10 mil a year. Wouldn't go higher though

youngbloodz
why when you could get curry for 5-6? i think Mario is a better player. I would take Mario over Olivier Vernon and i absolutely think he is a stud but will cost more
JiveAF
This helps us regardless. Either we go after him, or another team that could've went after a JPP, Vernon, etc will get Mario instead.

I would take Mario over Olivier Vernon and i absolutely think he is a stud but will cost moreRight now Vernon looks like the better player, he's also younger so that helps. I expect to him to get overpaid like many FAs do though. Probably 8-9 mil a year.

I'm one of those guys who thinks a change of scenery and chance to start for Curry can do for him what going to Seattle did for Michael Bennett. AndySG
why when you could get curry for 5-6? Mario Williams or Vinny Curry really isn't even a comparison. Surprised at how crazy people are going over a guy whose seasonal sacks are 0, 4, 9, 3.5. I actually quite like Curry as a piece. He's more Schofield than Williams, though. Probably 8-9 mil a year. The report right now, is that Vernon is expected to get Cam Jordan money, in the neighborhood of 11 per season. hjerry
Charles Johnson will also probably be released. We need a guy that can play that "big end" role for sure though, cause Jackson isn't cutting it.
DMT11
Would be ideal if we could get Mario or JPP. Do not really need Irvin then unless u want him playing coverage like he has this year in SEA. Def helps break things up for free agency, Id also like to have Hali - he keeps getting better as he gets older, its kinda wierd, but him for 2 years could be huge. HEIST
Like I said in the other thread I'm afraid there's a good chance he'll be a Panther. Home state, 4-3 team, chance to win a Super Bowl. He's already had his big payday too.

AEFalcon
If out=r only pressing need was pass rush then yes but we have too many holes to fill.....entire interior O-line, entire LB core, SS, WR, TE back-up QB..... I would rather address the O-Line in FA.
A-TowN.-
I'll pass on Mario Williams. Would rather get T. Hali or C. Johnson if they get cut as well. Bills fans are saying he wasn't that good this season and played with no heart.

He'd also provide similar production to Williams at this point in their careers, for probably less money. Plus, he's a GA native, who's been spotted wearing Falcons gear on multiple occasions. FentayeJones
If I was ATL I would kick the tires on him. I wouldnt worry too much about his age because DQ like to rotate d-lineman to keep them fresh - besides, 30 is not that old if its something like a two year deal. krammmit
We had a **** ton of cap room this year. We had the worst number of sacks this year. The people talking about overspending will be the same people bitching about our low sack numbers. Check this out, you want sacks? You got to pay for it. We don't even have a guy that has 7 sacks this year who gives a **** about over spending? I want wins and I want a defense.

Only reason i would go with Mario
