Yeah, and the 4th down play for Carolina before we took over their right tackle had one of the biggest false starts I've ever seen not be called. I was livid. I am certain now the NFL is rigged.

Anyone who has watched a few Carolina games this year is probably starting to think the NFL is rigged. I, for one, have watched just about every single one and I am with you. Completely certain the NFL is rigged and this year they are just so blatant with it, it's almost crazy. Week after week, the panthers get all the calls. I mean, Ron rivera and his challenge rate is literally insane. That alone, almost proves it.

If there is ever a critical mass of believers that the game is rigged, and nobody can really say when that will happen, the NFL will be a glorified WWE. The Refs were giving Carolina every chnace to win the game. Thank God Beasley was not respected enough to be in on the plan!

I've already told my woman i probably won't watch the nfl anymore, looking across the games the reffing is horrid, not only were they missing alot of call but also calling the wrong ones league wide... then you watched the panthers and they wanted them to win. they were taking newtons TD celebration of giving the ball to a young person (which is freakin awesome) and trying to make him be a superstar he is not an truely never will be, he's good given his abilities but he's not #1 talent, he's had a good o-line that also gets away with an extreme amount of holding.

anways despite this i will always be a falcons fan and always cheer for them, im hoping they make the playoffs in my last year of watching the nfl!

Those two penalties by the refs were a deliberate attempt by the NFL to try and send the game to overtime. Panthers going undeated in the regular season would have been great for post season ratings I imagine, and the NFL did not want to see the Falcons win that game. THANK god Vic came up with the strip , because if he hadn'... I promise you a pass interference call down field was coming next. And truthfully I'm surprised they didn't try and say his ar, was going forward and call it an incomplete pass. Complete horseshit.

I would watch, this season, that's it, you have to admit the reffing has been absolutely trash, and i dont mean just against us, even in the games which it was spread out evenly (most of the games) the penalties and the non called penalties are horrid, this isnt how real football is, at least in my thoughts, like i said ill always cheer for the falcons, but this is my last season, its just not the game it used to be.

Just watched the replay of the last two minutes again. Those last two flags were absolute bogus, and challenge anyone to challenge that! The Refs picked #68 for both infractions, because he is the absolute weakest link on the line. They were smart in doing that, but the tape usually cannot be fixed like the Refs can.

If you do not believe the NFL Refs are told to make calls to fix games, I challenge you to look at the tape again. If you cannot handle what you are going to see, then go ahead and believe in fantasy football.

There were three penalties on that drive. I agree the refs missed the false start by the Panthers RT but Person bobbed slightly to cause the false start (penalty #1). The two TEs were clearly on the line on the left side resulting in the illegal formation (penalty #2). And the replay shows Person clearly holding (penalty #3).

No, Falcon incompetence almost lost this game. Person was bad all season and was terrible this game. Luckily the defense stepped up.

This is a extremely incompetent team on offense. They like to shoot themselves in the foot by fumbling, interceptions, penalties, and bad snaps.

Sooooo did anyone watch the play where they went back and gave cam the first down???? I watched it like eight times and my daughter says dad he was down before the replay they keep showing. Sure enough down

Yeah... I can not figure hour how they spotted the ball where it is..... when you are down that is the spot.... it does not matter if you stretch out to the 15 yard line... if your knee is down on the 5 that is where the ball is suppose to be spotted.

It was all around a bad call by the refs.....made worse by the fact it was reviewed and changed.

The spot is the location where the ball is when the knee is down, not where the knee goes down.

Sorry, but if they called that holding call we got all the time, holding would be called on every play. There was more there than just Falcon mistakes.

Calling it rigged is a bit too strong as that implies the actual result of the game is fixed, but don't be so naïve to think the NFL is above manipulating a few things for an exciting ending. It was good for business to have SuperCam driving his team for a tie and OT or a win at the end and it was good for business to have them going for 16 and 0 next week.

Fortunately the Falcons failed to cooperate.

Exactly. The calls were legit.

Cam not getting the first wasn't the biggest thing wrong with that play. Cam had been stood up, he wasn't going anywhere, play should have been whistled dead (its happened to us enough)...then a big O lineman ran into Cam's back knocking him forward. To my knowledge, that is not a legal play, a player has to use him own ability to move the ball upfield, not be carried or pushed forward by another player. It was blatant in that case.
