matty72780
Are we officially eliminated? If not, what needs to happen for us to clinch? I see that only Seattle has clinched a wild card spot. Thanks.
Desert_Falcon
Pretty sure we need to win out and Seattle and/or Vikings need to lose out for us to take a wild card spot.
matty72780
Seattle has already clinched. We're 2 games out with 2 games left, nobody else is 7-7 other than us. The Vikings beat us so I'd assume they have the tie breaker but that's clearly not the case since they haven't clinched the final playoff spot yet? PK Manley
We need both Seattle and Vikings to lose out, and we need to win out. In that case, we would win a 3-way tiebreaker and make it in.If only one of them loses out, we would lose a two-way tiebreaker to both teams. OBXFalcon
Let me start my response by saying this: I have been and always will be a Falcons fan-win or lose! That being said we DO NOT need to make the playoffs this year even in the off chance that the scenarios were to play out and we get in! We would get crushed and lose a lot of draft position. Rather re-load for next year and start off strong for 2016-let's make the playoffs when we are ready to do something!
FalconinPA
I am a firm believer that anything can happen once you make it into the playoffs. But who in all honesty would want to see this train wreck of a team in the playoffs? That 24-2 beat down that the Giants gave us would look mild. It was tough enough see us lose and struggle with teams like the 49'ers, Colts, and Jags. Can you imagine Seattle, Green Bay, or Arizona? I shudder at the thought. I think we'll lose by double digits tbh. But if we win out, we can do anything. That's all. This team looks streaky.inb4 streak on pants joke
FalconJim
Yeah, we have to win out, and Minny and Seattle have to lose out --- and honestly, I don't see that happening --- But, like they say, "on any given Sunday"... Wouldn't it be a heck of a note, though, if they both lost Sunday, and we win?!?!?!? That would prolong the agony another week! LOL!!! Or, they both lose in two weeks, and the lowly Aints beat us, and knock us out of the Playoffs --- that'd probably be our luck. PokerSteve
what kind of fans do we haveApparently we have a few who enjoy watching the Falcons get blown out and embarrassed on national tv. Weird.
Ezekiel 25:17
Are we officially eliminated? If not, what needs to happen for us to clinch? I see that only Seattle has clinched a wild card spot. Thanks.Ok, What needs to happen is... Both Minnesota and Seattle lose their remaining Games and we win ours, Creating a "Three way" tie at 9-7. This eliminates the head to head tie break we do not have with Minnesota and go down to Strength of opponents which would put us ahead of both teams and leave us in the 5th spot. Does that help? octoslash
It's all but over. 'Officially' we are still alive. But if you've seen the way Seattle is playing...well, they're not losing two games in a row. And maybe not in January either. I would LOVE to watch the Seahawks meet up with the Pantwads again, post season. Heh-heh-heh.
Miller2Rison
I don't see the Seahawks losing out, I just hope we beat the panthers. I loaded my fan duel team with as many panthers players as it would allow me so we will prob beat the panthers down. If the Falcons dish in the same effort as 2 weeks ago then I will get paid on them being heartless.
Da Bird is Da Word
If we still controlled our destiny I would have hope, but I'm not wasting my breath hoping that other teams lose so we can make it in. All we had to do was win one or two of those games we lost over the last couple months and our predicament wouldn't be so dire.

Does that help? And we'd go on the road to face the winner of the NFCE in the wildcard round. A team we already beat. Win that and we're probably headed to CAR for the division round, to face them for a third time, having beat them three weeks earlier. Win that and we're probably headed to the desert to face ARI in the conference championship. Get revenge for the 2008 playoff game and head to Santa Clara to win a Lombardi against the Brady Bunch two weeks later. Sounds far fetched but stranger things have happened. See GB 2010 and NYG 2011. Both 9-7 teams that got hot, beat as and won a ring.
vtbs
You guys are not hopeful, you are flat out delusional.Come Sunday you won't have to do playoff acrobatics, you can start preparing for the draft.Lmao.Falcons win out.....yeah, OK.Seattle loose out.....yeah, OK....This place is the twilight zone.
