MasterBateser
From what I've seen of Beasley this year, Beasley's "natural position" may well involve a paper hat and fries. We should have drafted Bud Dupree. He's been making a difference for the Steelers pass rush.Yeah... ok... based off what?
Cornflake10
Use him like they use Clay in Green Bay.Now this is the most idiotic post I have ever read.
cyofish
Leave him at DE where many think he is too small and weak, or do we move him to OLB which would probably be his most productive position? However, unless we change our "no blitz" attitude his speed to the QB would be lost at OLB.Beasley would have been effective if the DL had the ability to provide pressure up the middle. There is a number of times where he beat the OT around the edge but the QB had the room to slide up the pocket and avoid the rush.

Gold4425
If you go back to Beasley's H. S. career he has played a lot of positions. He is a natural athlete which is why he did well at Combine. I think he can convert to OLB

etherdome
Clay has played several positions. Dimi worked him out in 2008. Board said draft him. Dimi said naw gimme some a dat Jelly. That was the first eyebrow I raised on Dimi. To my knowledge, Clay rarely plays with his hand in the dirt. At the time, we were running a 4-3 defense. We lacked a penetrating DT, in the mold of Tommie Harris and a pass rushing DE. It is doubtful that Clay Matthews would have been used properly in Atlanta. It is likely that we would have wasted his talents by focing him to play out of position. Jerry's problem was that he sustained a career-altering knee injury. Bawse
Free + Bee > GurIf we drafted Gurley in the first, we could have had plenty of equal talent level in the 2nd at DE/Pass rush. It was nonsensical and you gotta go with BPA, Beasley was not.

Quest
Beasley was not.Dupree was.To be fair any of the 4 guys we targeted would've been fine. Gregory,Ray,Beasley, and Dupree would've all been acceptable at 8 from a defensive standpoint.
Lord Sarcomere
Bust pick. Should have drafted Gurley in the first. Period. No. I would have taken David Johnson in the third round instead of Gurley in the first. He is the best RB from this rookie class.Beasley was the right pick. MSalmon
With another edge rusher on the other side...that's how you do it.Why did this reply not get bumped? This reply is the truth. Pure and simple. Clayborn and Kroy sucks. Schoffield is nice but a depth/utility guy. Get another edge guy and Vic is fineVon Miller had dumervil on other side as a rookie I believe
