Dan Quinn Is Not A Falcons Fan

Wasn't that his quote from the press conference he had earlier this week?

To me, that's just the "politically correct" thing to say, and Quinn may feel entirely different after working with Thomas for a year now. And if he did, I highly doubt he'd say anything but positive remarks to the media while handling his true feelings behind closed doors

I don't know if this reflects Quinn's view or he is saying the right thing to the media, but if AB has any sense he will take account of Quinn's real views and wishes whatever they may be.

If Quinn really wants to work with TD and is happy with their working relationship, forcing a change on Quinn makes zero sense. The consensus view in the off-season was that these guys worked together and aced the draft, so why break that up and PO the coach in the process? We need to remember that it takes time to see the benefits of a good draft - you don't get instant improvement.

Thomas is a really big part of why I wanted to be here,” Quinn said, via theAssociated Press. “The respect I have for him, and the partnership that I wanted to help create from the head coach to a General Manager. We were in sync in every facet from the time we got here to going through every process together.”

I dont understand what this thread s supposed to imply. This is the only Quinn quote from the PFT article. Just the run of the mill standard quote any coach would make. Its the same thing he said when asked in his press conference yesterday,

Well...maybe Quinn can go too?

You can't have this kind of season and "stay the course". Certainly not three in a row for TD. I'm sure Quinn would be uneasy with a new GM that didn't hire him but TD made his bed and this losing streak is the nail in the coffin.

You wanna keep him here...make sure the team performs better on Sunday! Otherwise...

I agree. DQ wants TD to stay because he wants stability. As a first time HC, he doesn't want to have to deal with a brand new GM that may not support him in the same way that TD does. TD is in his corner, and has demonstrated that he can work effectively with DQ to bring in players that work within the system that DQ wants to implement. Breaking the DQ-Pioli-TD dynamic up just makes Quinn's job harder.

Quinn has always gone out of his way to say Dimitroff was a big reason he wanted the Falcons Job, even when he didn't have to. He's said this without leading questions in press conferences, or even being asked directly. I don't think I've heard him mention Scott Pioli's name, and he rarely talks about Arthur Blank unless directly asked.

All I want to say is Florio is a disgruntled jerk. He said how he knew 100% the falcons were going to lose two first round picks for pumping in noise. He has promised he knew Thomas was getting fired multiple times. He actually word fights with other reporters (and he goes personal). He said some horrible things about the eagles. Etc etc etc.

So I'm not believing this article at all.

This thread could not be more click bait and I hope the mods change the title.

Not only is there nothing implying that in the "article" but the entire thing is pure speculation. The only thing in there from Quinn is his offseason statements that he and TD got along and thought similarly. The rest is pure BS where it tries to imply that Quinn wants TD to stay.

This crap is why I want Pft flat out banned from the site. Everything that they write is garbage.

This thread is garbage too.

Before he got our job he wanted to work with George Paton. I think it's up to AB and I think TD is history after these last 3 games. DQ will have a new GM next year.

Dan Quinn may like TD and may like working with him, but he has to step back and look at the big picture from the standpoint of TD's full body of work before he got here, and it doesn't pass the smell test. If he understands that he'll understand this move has to be made. It might end up with TD and Shanahan gone before the dust settles.

Despite the fact I give you allotta **** I 150% Agree. This is why I don't bother to listen to the interviews of Quinn and Ryan anymore.

Click bait was not the intention - just my way of weighing in on the current TD debate with a stab at a little humor.

I guess that doesn't work for some people.
