Theyhateme : )
Honestly I'd trade Freeman why his value is high. I honestly haven't bought into him at all. He's had a very good year, but I feel this is the high point of his career. If they could a second rounder it would be a no brainer and even a 3rd i'd pull the trigger. octoslash
You don't trade Freeman for a 2nd rounder. You trade Coleman for a 2nd or 3rd rounder and with the pick, get someone to BLOCK FOR FREEMAN.

falconsfan4life3
Based on what? College career? What has he done in the NFL?In his two starts with the Falcons (not including Giants game cause he got hurt) he had 20 carries 80 yards vs Eagles and 18 carries for 110 yards vs Vikings...he has looked good when he gets carries but he needs to hold onto the ball. (Freeman does too..he has 2 fumbles this year and Coleman has 3). Edited December 17, 2015 by falconsfan4life3
falconsfan4life3
Coleman has a fumbling issue he loses his balance easily even when he is not touched. He has POTENTIAL but the jury is still out on his future I definitely haven't seen anything that indicates he is an everydown back at the NFL level. Another issue is what do you do when Coleman gets injured? Freeman got his opportunity because Coleman got hurt nobody knows if he can handle running the ball all season. I know...i want to keep both. Coleman is not going to break a lot of tackles but he is one of the fastest back in the NFL and is GREAT in space and has produced well in his starts. I think both are every down backs but I would like to see Coleman get more touches. Freeman is definitely a better receiver out of the backfield and we should utilize both. DoYouSeeWhatHappensLarry
Good, not great. He's regressed a few hundred yards each year. He has 1 TD, and might not even get to 1000 yards. That has more to do with usage than anything else, IMO. He's been phased out of the offense over the last two years or so. And let's not forget, Freeman does one thing VERY well that Morris doesnt really do at all: contribute in the passing game.I don't think Devonta is some legend in the making or anything. I think he can be a Frank Gore-esque back that can contribute in both phases of the offense for the next few years.

Freeman fumbles around 0.6% of the time Coleman 3.62%. He's not looked good because he keeps putting it on the ground. Good trying comparing the 2 fumbles to 3 nonsense but you gotta try again. spiker
His effectiveness behind a subpar offensive line shouldn't be understated. This line is getting really old because it is true.
Atlantafan21
I think Freeman is awesome, but as bad as Kyle Shanahan is, he can make a RB look elite. Alfred Morris, anyone?I think he's slightly overrated. As teams figured out our scheme, not only has Matt regressed, has anyone noticed the Running Game of late? Ain't much better. Devonta is good, but I worry we might be overvaluing him because of that early season success. He wasn't much help last week.To be fair, we have barely been running the ball. It seems every time we are on offense it's all pass with one run, and that would only be if it's a 10 play drive.

If we had an AP or Todd Gurley type, would that still be the case?
