2) Devonta Freeman, Atlanta Falcons

Age: 23. Games: 12. Rushing yards: 851. Rushing TDs: 9. Yards per carry: 4.4. Rec. yards: 498.

A fourth-round steal out of Florida State in 2014, Freeman is a smaller -- but no less powerful -- version of Bell. Installed as Atlanta's starter this season, Freeman is on pace for 1,000-plus rushing yards and 70-plus catches. He has exceptional balance and is deadly in yards after catch, but what make him special are his vision and field awareness. His effectiveness behind a subpar offensive line shouldn't be understated.

Honestly I'd trade Freeman why his value is high. I honestly haven't bought into him at all. He's had a very good year, but I feel this is the high point of his career. If they could a second rounder it would be a no brainer and even a 3rd i'd pull the trigger.

I see what you mean but most definitely not for a second or third rounder. Freeman is a top 5 back this season. It's a good idea but hopefully the Falcons have more sense than the Braves and wouldn't do something like that. Edited by PHALCONABERNATHY

I think Freeman is awesome, but as bad as Kyle Shanahan is, he can make a RB look elite. Alfred Morris, anyone?

I think he's slightly overrated. As teams figured out our scheme, not only has Matt regressed, has anyone noticed the Running Game of late? Ain't much better.

Devonta is good, but I worry we might be overvaluing him because of that early season success. He wasn't much help last week.

Alfred Morris is still pretty good dude.

Before or after we trade Ryan, Mr. Madden?

Good, not great. He's regressed a few hundred yards each year. He has 1 TD, and might not even get to 1000 yards.

He's also sharing carries nearly equally this year with rookie Matt Jones. Was over 1000 yards each of his first 3 years and over 7 touchdowns each of his first 3 years getting the bulk of the carries. It's not a surprise his numbers have regressed this year now that he's sharing the load.

Again, you don't draft and develop good player only to trade them away. Trading a known quantity that fits a need for a "what if" is not smart. That is why it rarely happens in the NFL.

The fact that someone is sharing carries with a guy who is 3 years shy of 30 and had 1600 yards in his rookie year is a tell as well. He's also lost his avg yard per carry each year.

He's a good RB, but the system made him look better than he is.

Him sharing carries doesn't mean anything. But ok.

The fact that he's pretty much not the starting RB tells us. Do you think Todd Gurley is going to be sharing carries in 2-3 years?

A kid that gets 1600 yards his rookie season shouldn't be sharing carries 3 years later. He should be going to pro bowls, and peaking at 27, not regressing.
