The_Dirty_Birds
Peter Konz (2-55) - Started 28 games, but was too small and too weak to play at an NFL level. Was viewed as the best Center in the 2012 draft.Lamar Holmes (3-91) - Started 19 games, but was supposed to be a project. Lost starting RT job to UDFA, started this year on the PUP list, and then was released.Bradie Ewing (5-157) - Played 2 games, could never stay healthy.Jonathan Massaquoi (5-164) - Started 7 games, but feuded with Mike Nolan and his staff. Was cut when Quinn came on, went to Tennessee, and was cut in the Pre-Season.Charles Mitchell (6-192) - Played 10 games in 2012 on Special Teams, was released in the following offseason.Travian Robertson (7-249) - Spent most of his career on the Falcons Practice Squad before being claimed by Seattle in 2014. Played one game for the Seahawks in 2014, one for the Redskins, and then was not signed in the offseason.Yeah I think it about that time for TD to Go.. ukfalc
Hardly surprising given that we didn't have a single pick in the top 50, and only had 2 picks in the top 150 selections that year. That the price for trading for Julio.
MAD597
Yea that was the turning point for me as a TD fan. Once we cut Holmes and that stat came out that the entire 2012 draft is not in the NFL you got to be shaking your head and fire the GM. No more excuses we have next to no players contributing to this roster that were drafted from 2009-2012
A-TowN.-
Yeah the 2009 - 2012 drafts were pretty brutal.
birdman71
That was bad. He didn't hit on one pick. I see why td is in trouble.
Sidecar Falcon
That's definitely an indictment on his drafting ability. Now around this time would be when those players drafted would be paying dividends.
clownorg
and in 2016. hopefully TD joins his 2012 draft picks in being OUT of the NFL
FalconJim
A terrible indictment of Dummytroff's ability to recognize talent!!! He should have been relieved of his duties, when Smitty was fired --- also, you could say our scouting dept. has done a pizz poor job, as well --- Edited December 15, 2015 by FalconJim
g-dawg
Dimitroff lived off of a handful of picks that went right - and Michael Turner signing/Gonzo trade - for years and years and years. Overall, TD has been awful. Time to pay the piper!
Old fan
It is said that a draft class shouldn't be judged until three years down the road. There is your three year report.
MilleniumFalcon
With TD's track record, some of the message board posters would've done a better job in the draft. Some mock drafts are 10x better than what the Falcons actually selected.
MikeSmithsNotepad
I remember when Brian Billick who is a prick, but still a good football mind said that the Falcons are seriously lacking the talent department and the inhouse Cheerleading team here went crazy. Turns out he was absolutely right. Take away that one good year (2008) and the Emperor has no clothes.

ukfalc
Only the hypocrites on AFMB could beg TD to gut the 2012 of draft of 2 of its top 4 picks in a trade, and them criticise him for not finding enough talent in that draft. You wanted the trade, so admit you were wrong, man up and live with the consequences. There are multiple players still playing in the NFL who were picked in the rounds falcons selected.

Absolutely absurd. You find talent in all rounds. We haven't found talent period. Ok, so that trade happened. Big whoop, TD hasn't shown he could ever draft play makers in those rounds. No one even believes they are wrong, so no one needs to man up, because TD should have found talent and he didn't.
autigerfan
Just really shows his deficiencies identifying OL/DL talent. 2012 wasn't really a gem in terms of blue chip prospects.

That the price for trading for Julio.Could have drafted Keleche Osemele (we scouted him) instead of Peter Konz. Lavonte David was also available at the spot we took Konz. 2012 was a poor draft overall - the Julio trade actually was a "win" for TD - I want TD fired but he actually made the right move in the Julio trade - history has proved him right there.I just scrolled through 5 rounds of this draft - terrible terrible draft - some good players but not many. LiquidFalcon
I missed that stat but Im not too shocked. This is the same guy who passed up Clay Matthews for Peria Jerry than the next year we draft Weatherspoon. 2008 was his only good draft, I will at least give TD that but that was 7 years ago and going 1 for 7 isn't good enough. TD is the best at picking Busts and players made out of glass, so maybe we should keep him, than whoever he suggests we pick we immediately pick someone else.
