Nono
I don't know, heck Quinn thought he got it correct with Shanahan so why would I know--I mean Whisenhunt?Let it be known that based on how Arthur waited till the end of the season to fire Smitty, my guess is that he will call a press conference after the superbowl announcing TD's contract will not be renewed but thanks him for his years of service to the Falcons and of yeah Kyle Shanahan has been fired and he has hired a search committee to find his replacement. OBXFalcon
Adam Gase is supposedly under contract with the Bears for two more years but if there is any way on earth possible to get him here I would do it. Peyton Manning had his best year as a pro with Gase as his OC (which a lot of people wrote off simply because it is Peyton Manning and he had all those weapons) and he has done a stellar job in Chicago with Jay Cutler. Everyone thought that Cutler was done but he has had a great season under Gase. He does what every OC should do (here's looking at you Shanahan) and that is design an offense to the strengths of his QB. I think he would work wonders with Ryan. Money Lee
Mike McCoy... EASILY, biggest reason why, flexibility. He had Tebow looking like a legitimate QB in a run heavy, zone read system and was seamlessly able to transition that into a fast paced no huddle attack with Manning. He's also run the ZBS with success.SD would be dumb as **** to fire McCoy, considering all their injuries & lack of depth, but McCoy would be my #1 choice, with anyone else a distant #2. Clark Kent™
I was about the only one this offseason saying Josh McDaniels name, but i'd welcome him with open arms. Not that i want Shanahan gone because i don't think he is nearly as awful as people say, but if they deem that Ryan and Shanahans system aren't a great fit and they do decide to cut bait, McDaniels is my first choice. blizzard_falcon
Mike McCoy makes the most sense to me, if San Diego lets him go.Whisenhunt is another nice option. I think he is a much better OC than HC. He'd get this passing game back on track.
The Don™
According to this excerpt from this article, it does NOT look like Shanny is going anywhere. Quinn seems to be pointing at the talent level when it pertains to the execution part (see bolded). I see upgrades being needed at C, RG, and WR. Levitre will not be going anywhere.-----------------------------------Quinn is the single most important and powerful individual in the organization right now, below only owner Arthur Blank. This is what he said: “I see how hard the two guys are working at it and I know both guys are total competitors. I know both are pissed that they’re not performing better. But they support the heck out of each other. So that’s not dividing to me.” Regarding the Ryan vs. Shanahan public debate, Quinn added, “I totally get it. But the team does not feel that way. The team backs these guys. They know what Matt’s about and they love the part of the scheme they’re in. We don’t have to do things different, we just have to do things better. ‘Let’s run the route at this level. Let’s make this block here.’ It’s so easy to just say, ‘Well, the scheme doesn’t work.’” Adjustment period? Absolutely. But, “There’s always a transition period,” Shanahan said. “That’s not just here with Matt, it’s what coaching is. It’s not just with the quarterback. … It’s an easy thing to say when you’re struggling. To say it’s just the transition wouldn’t be accurate because that would have been true at the beginning of the season, too.” Ryan said, “There’s a learning curve that comes with” the transition. “But I really believe he’s going to be here a long time and we’re going to win a lot of games together.”That hasn’t been the case lately and it might be too late to fix the season. But don’t expect either to go anywhere.http://www.myajc.com/news/sports/football/only-absolute-about-ryan-shanahan-neither-is-leavi/nphSk/

A Dog Named Brian
I'm not the type to typically speculate in these kind of threads. But, IF (and that's a big IF) Shanny is shown the door this offseason, I would want McCoy from SD. He had Tebow playing good football in Denver. Jesus
Peyton has to decide if he wants to deal with the rigor and hours of an NFL coaching lifestyle. It isn't cut out for everyone. There is a reason why even John Madden walked away from it and never looked back.Gase will be a head coach next year. Wisenhunt could be good. He did great with Pittsburgh but he has a lot of HC experience and will be on the shortlist for a lot of teamsPhilbin created Rodgers and could use a place to resurrect his career same with McCoy. Evo
I would definitely love McCoy. He's almost a dream come true if SD decides to let him go, and I'm praying they will. But no love for Joe Philbin tho? He had the Packers offense ranked top 10 in scoring every single year that he's there (07-11). He also the OC when Aaron Rodgers look like God in 2010 and 2011. Philbin's only knock is that every year that he has been GB's OC the running game production has gone down. Could that be bc why run when AR is making all those incredible throws? I would love to see for him to work with MR and have him look half as good as AR in those years.

We have a pretty good one in Freeman and an up in comer in Coleman.

Probably behind the scenes things may be differentI can say this. I don't any rift between Matt, Shanny and Quinn. That's from what I personally see and read. For that reason, I don't see him going anywhere barring what I read and see outweighs what's going on behind closed doors..Am I Shanahan fan? No. I don't think Ryan is the right fit for his scheme. Didn't like the hire from the beginning. I just have a feeling things will not change as far as coordinators go. Quinn will give Shanny his due process, since it being a completely new scheme.I will say this. The talent level and the type of players Quinn strives for are severely lacking on both sides of the ball. He will need more time IMO.
