Arkridge
If there were two positions I could pick in the NFL that rookies have the hardest time getting adjusted to game speed is pass rush and corner. A lot of the top pass rushers in the league today struggled their rookie seasons to generate sacks from rushing the passer. A few examples of some dominant pass rushers rookie season sack totals:Robert Quinn: 5 Sacks his rookie yearJ.J. Watt: 5.5 Sacks his rookie yearJustin Houston: 5.5 Sacks his rookie yearKhalil Mack: 4 Sacks his rookie yearMario Williams: 4 Sacks his rookie yearOne thing to also consider, Vic Beasley is playing pass rusher on a team devoid of another strong rusher to pair along with him which makes it even harder for him to generate pressure without much help at all. I loved Vic Beasley coming out of the draft and I still think he has it in him to be a dominant player for us but we need many other puzzle pieces in order to make things happen.Same can be said for Jalen Collins. He's been bad this season but someone he reminds me of is Cincy's Dre Kirkpatrick, who looked like a bust his first few seasons before he finally came into his own and now he's a great player. Gotta give a player atleast 3 years post draft to develop before labeling someone a bust.Beasley and Collins will be fine, everyone. Let them learn how to play the game at the speed of the pros. vel
NO! Thirteen games is enough for me. Beasley needs to go. Take Quinn and Kyle with him. /purpMost fans would rather a Shawn Merriman type of career production from Beasley than any of those guys you listed. NO! Thirteen games is enough for me.
