There would be no reason to watch the Falcons play besides Julio.

There was plenty of reason to watch from '08-'10

Winning gives you a reason to watch

No OL lol. Aside from Person they have played perfectly fine this season. We definitely need an upgrade at center, but the last thing this team needs to do is trade one of its two playmakers on offense when we have a QB who cannot carry his team and make average players look like Pro Bowlers.

Got your flamesuit on?

Nope flame away happy to see people views on this topic.

Do we build around a super star WR or trade him away for a defense + Oline pieces?

Also TD wouldn't do it but if he is fired and a new GM comes in promising to make major changes im sure this is one option that will be considered.

No one was expecting the Saints to trade Graham,

A receiver like Jones belongs on a contender, not a team with more holes than a Vegas brothel

If I were building a team from scratch, I'd build it like Belichick. Do any of the teams that are continually in the playoffs have a receiver like Jones? Why are they always in the playoffs? They need an elite receiver to score points, right? Absolutely not

If some GM offered me a couple firsts I'd take the deal. I'd also check the market and keep the phone lines open to let other GM's know we're open for business if they're interested in other players. In a sense, I'd John Hart/John Coppolella this bitchh

No need to insult anyone just let us know the reason you think trading Julio is out of the question smile.png

1. He's literally the life of the entire offense.

2. He just got a brand new contract and the cap penalty would hurt like ****.

3. Best WR in the league.

4. Great character, no nonsense type player who puts winning before ANYTHING.

The sum it up, he's a rare talent who I would say took a team friendly contract when he's worth Megatron type money.

Agree with every point.

my question is what will give us a better chance to be a contender

Julio Jones

or

A trade that results in 3 - 4 good players on O line / defense

Theres no guarantee if getting those 3-4 players they make the same difference #11 makes.I mean the trade to the Browns proved that the 4 players they got in that trade are as good as bagging groceries.

Guys like Ryan Jones & Trufant are guys Ibuild the team around I certainly don't get rid of them there areplenty that hit the road before those 2 or 3.

I agree. I would listen to offers... This team is deficient in depth.

Then as GM I'd troll the boards after trading away favorite players without being fearful of banishment

In short, I'd filter out the reactionary fans

Sometimes the herd needs a little "thinning."

No. A dominant #1 WR is needed in order to win. Ask the Lions with Megatron, the Cardinals a few years ago with a young Fitz. The Broncos and Bears with Brandon Marshall. The current Jags with their two stud WRs.

Truth right here folks. Maybe we need to add another dominant #1 receiver to become even more explosive. We might even score 6 points when we play the Panthers next year. That's a huge percentage increase from our grand total of ZERO POINTS today
