sdogg
Going cheap would actually be better than what Dimitroff has done. He went full out after holiday bargain bin on the lines, and then still over paid for that. He traded picks for Levitre. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong on that, cause I would love to be. Anyway, fire Dimitroff and get rid of Polosi as well. He also seems to be useless.Yep. He signs franchise QB to $100 million contract, but goes after mall rent a cops to protect him. JD dirtybird21
Last year everyone said it was Smiths fault for not developing talent. Well has the talent been developed? Here's where you're wrong. Anyone who defends Mike Smith by claiming he just wasn't dealt a good hand don't understand that Smith didn't just leave everything to TD. Those guys made decisions together as a partnership. TD drafted the guys that Smith wanted for his defensive schemes. Smith is just as much to blame as TD. Just because TD has the final say doesn't mean he didn't value his head coaches opinion or avoid his insight. You can blame TD for signing free agents like TJax and Dunta to big contracts. But don't give Mike Smith a pass and blame TD only for drafting guys like Dez Southward and Lamar Holmes
RunningThePiszOuttaTheBall
There are so many zealous TD supporters on this board ... maybe that have gone into hiding? I have been arguing for years now that TD had full control for a loooong time, and yet our roster was crap. Even if you don't think the roster is crap, you can't possibly argue that it is AWESOME.TD has had full control on a silver platter, and our roster sucks. It could not be more obvious that he needs to be gone.Shoulda been gone last year. We should've lured in the best drafting GM we could find last year, and let him pick whatever coach he wanted. Now, we have to decide whether to keep Quinn and somehow lure that top notch GM in spite of that, or let Quinn go without giving him a fair shake in order to get the top shelf GM we need. I think we'd be giving Quinn a raw deal not to give him another year -- but more important than anything else for us is to get a top shelf GM who knows how to draft in here. Quarterback
I've been done with TD since he told Abraham (our entire pass rush) to GTHO. You don't just let one of the best DE's to play in 20 years to walk without a viable plan to replace him. Don't your remember, he did have a plan... You want your HC to sign off on all drafts or FA acquisitions so they share in the responsibility of success or failure of these players. It would be idiotic to do otherwise. opensource01
The good: He manages the cap well The bad: O Line and front 7 on D are worst in the NFLI wouldn't call managing the cap by not spending money good. It certainly works, but you end up with a talent depleted team.
falconcrest58
TD is the last year of his contract. I doubt he is fired before the end of the season. If I remember you're a TD nut hugger right?
etherdome
Two principles that have stymied personnel decisions: 1. The Falcon filter. 2. Needs-based drafting. Sprinke in a number of very poor free agent decisions and you have the product you saw today in Charlotte.
TheUsualStuff
Blank needs to question himself as well. It's not time to fire TD... it's way PAST time to have fired him. Baker, no pass rush since Abraham left... no line... gave up too much to get Julio thinking all Ryan needed was a deep threat when Ryan can't throw the ball more than 30 yards downfield anyway. Bad FA signings.. bad contract extensions. After all of these years with TD at the helm and we look like an expansion team. The announcers were laughing at your team to today, AB. Everybody except for Falcon's fans were laughing at them. All these years and after a brief flirtation with being a decent organization, this team is back to square one. I wish I could just choose to be a fan of another team, but I'm too much of a homer so I have to just give up on pro football or just sit through this pathetic crap yet again. I doubt it will be much better next year either...'too many issues to fix quickly and no one involved capable of doing it.

LiquidFalcon
TD absolutely needs to go and most of this roster with him. After today to even use Alford as an ok player is a stretch, he's always been iffy and today my God. They need to throw some money to get Janoris Jenkins from the rams and spend money all around.d to make up for the poor drafts of course we've spent so much on washed up vets and career 2nd stringers we pay handsomely to be starters, Idk what more proof Arthur needs before he fires the whole front office. This team is boned financially in horrid investments.
I Even Bleed Red
I'm done with this "Mr." Blank nonsense. Blank doesn't get undeserved reverence or a break from me. Blank is part of the reason we suck. We all know he had a huge hand in the Julio trade. He wants to win NOW and put a lot of pressure on Smitty and TD (can't believe I'm defending TD) to make roster moves that costed the team depth and toughness. Blank still hasn't gotten over the Vick fiasco. The Falcon Filter is nonsense he created. HE is the reason we passed on Dez then sold out for Julio. Blank is the one who wanted/wants "flashy" to sell tickets. And I don't buy it for 1 sec that he had no knowledge of the Noise gate. As far as I'm concerned, he prolly gave McKay permission to do it and then had him take the fall for it. HE is the reason we passed on several blue collared tough-nosed draftees and FA, because they had a certain "image." He is stereotypical. We all know he has a huge hand in the roster a la Jerry Jones. But at least Jerry has the balls to come out and take credit for his mistakes. Blank acts like he's not influential, but just supportive - when we all know it's BS. We all joke about his mafia/Godfather image. I'm sure it's real - because he's intimidating to his coaches and staff and prolly stressful to work for. Don't let this "aww shuck" public image fool you. He's a cold hearted business man from NY. Blank is a POS for letting people take falls when HE is influencing decisions that are responsible for their shortcomings. He's on his 48 Laws of Power sh!t. Pay attention! Fu(k Arthur Blank. Ya, I said it!
GleasonForever!
The man has NEVER drafted a ProBowl lineman O or D line in 8 years. Let that sink in....... 8 years.
AndySG
Ozzie Newsome has drafted one pro bowler since 2008 or something ridiculous. We don't need pro bowlers. We need competent players at all positions. We draft practice squad players after the second round (although I liked large parts of the last two drafts). iDash
I think the front office is the best the falcons ever had,It not easy to win in the NFL,they are doing there best!Other teams just lucked out and they got better players than us.Other than adding a Monster at MLB and a leader at Center who would U add to this team to make them better? We should hire Chuck Smith to coach DE's though, he'd probably do it for free. prolikewhoa
It seems Blank doesn't like to fire executives. He'll try to give them another role like Rich McKay who went from GM to President.
FalconMama
Thomas should've been fired 3 years ago. His needs based bullsh*t drafting sucks and he tries to woo folks with big words to make himself seem smarter than what he is. He has destroyed this team. Pioli can go with him. g-dawg
i just threw up in my mouth reading about his draft classes Where is Gazoo? He is Dimitroff fanboy and he had every excuse in the book for TD's failing and laid talent deficit on Smitty.C'mon gazoo - please surface and let us know how Dimitroff is still a genius. I am sure you still feel the same way about him, right?
