Dirtybird3
I was only able to watch the game on a few breaks at work. But for those who watched it did the announcers talk about the officiating calls at all? That 4th and 1 call looked blatant as fawk.Just curious.. Miller2Rison
Yea even the announcers said they were bad calls, if not for the refs we would have only lost like 21-
raysnill1
yeah, they didn't hold their tongues at all about the officiating.
FalconinPA
Yeah they made a few statements about the refs officiating. But they spent more time praising Cam Newton.

ICUH8N
Yep. Lynch couldn't believe the calls including Mike Pereira. Mike even said with the way the officials were calling todays game he knew the plays wouldn't be overturned.
NCFalconfan
It'll get over shadowed because we looked like a pop warner team vs a real NFL team today but it was a horribly officiated game. The Olsen catch/fumble was by rule an incomplete pass. Newton failed to get the ball to the LOS on two throw away passes with no one in the area, Keuchly hit Freeman out of bounds with two feet on the sideline, the laughable spot on the Newton run up the middle, the Ginn pushoff, Schraeders unnecessary roughness call, Norman held and pass interfered on a play against Jones....I think that covers it. lol
BeRom
yes, but the Refs were the least of our problems. The calls they obviously got wrong didn't even bother me... they were just irrelevant in this game.
NYCFalc
When you play as bad as us, you don't get the calls.

Mega Flare
They were certain Cam got stuffed on that short play, and were literally speechless when the call wasn't overturned.
Miller2Rison
Oh this was the best part "the falcons are breaking the huddle with too many players, its going to get called every time in this game BC the panthers were doing it last week and it wasn't getting called" lmao
NYCFalc
Yea that was really the only call I thought was real bad. All teams hold, all teams get away with it to an extent.

NCFalconfan
They were certain Cam got stuffed on that short play, and were literally speechless when the call wasn't overturned. That was a "your team is cannon fodder" statement from the league as I've ever seen. NYCFalc
That was a "your team is cannon fodder" statement from the league as I've ever seen. The league? You think the refs called somebody to ask if they were allowed to reverse the call?
Mega Flare
That was a "your team is cannon fodder" statement from the league as I've ever seen.Exactly. It felt like the refs were just trying to get the game over with, and some fans appeared to be grateful.
NCFalconfan
The league? You think the refs called somebody to ask if they were allowed to reverse the call? No, I just think that by default some teams just never get the calls. We're one of those teams. Wouldn't have mattered today as it turned out, but it still doesn't explain why some of the spots/calls/no calls don't pass the eye test. knomercy
We sucked, but the officiating couldn't have been worse -- like "rethinking even watching NFL football cus the sh*t might very well be rigged" bad.
