I'm Pretty Sure Matt Ryan......

Recommended Posts

....is smarter than me.

I'm pretty sure Matt Ryan has more money than me.

Pretty sure Matt Ryan is a better quarterback than me.

Goes without saying that he has been capable of winning games in the past. Score touchdowns like crazy. In 2012, the first drive of every game we came down the field..

ate up 5 or 6 minutes on the clock. and scored almost every time.

I understood the offense Matt Ryan would run in 08 through 14

He changed the play based on coverage he saw and delivered the ball to the right guy more times than not.

With no offensive line... running scripted plays...forcing the ball into tight coverage even though he knows better. The fumbles and blatant interceptions are almost scripted themselves it seems like.

I'm also pretty sure Matt Ryan is trying his best to get KS fired. I think this game was

a statement, to Dan Quinn and Arthur Blank from the players.

Like I said... Matt Ryan is smarter than me...

If I cant understand this offense.. I'm pretty sure he can't either

Matt Ryan understands the offense. It really isn't that complicated and for an 8 year veteran and not the primary reason for this miserable 6 game stretch.

The real issue is execution, talent (lack thereof), and really stupid decisions (Ryan) and carelessness (fumbles and dropped balls) leading to turnovers.

Remember, once the ball is snapped it's all on the players.

The real issue is execution, talent (lack thereof), and really stupid decisions leasing to turnovers.

The plays were atrocious. No routes down the field at all. They are sitting down on routes

.

So on the series we were at the goal line in garbage time and we're trying to score and we're going empty backfield...

Why wasn't Julio on the field?

Lets put them behind this OL and this OC calling the game!

QBs playing better than Ryan, and have been hit and sacked more times than Ryan:

Tom Brady

Aaron Rodgers

Tyrod Taylor

Drew Brees

Russel Wilson

Blake Bortles

Ryan Tannenhil

Alex Smith

Marcus Mariota

Matthew Stafford

Philip Rivers

All have better QB ratings

EDIT: Added Stafford and Rivers

I agree with you, but when your best player, who gets the vast majority of the looks as the first progression, isn't on the field on 4 redzone downs, then on 4th down, there isn't a single receiver in the end zone, forcing a 4th down throw to the 1, you have to question the play calling.

Shanahan needs to go spend some time in college if he has any hope of resurrecting his NFL career.

While that last sentence is true... in the most basic sense, it is also assuming that the play design is good and if executed properly would be successful. It also assumes some level of past success in influencing the defense's reaction to certain looks, plays designs, etc. If that isn't happening, then it becomes less and less likely that anything succeeds offensively. And that my Falcon friends is where the debate begins...

I'm pretty sure half the Qbs in this league are better than Ryan this year.

I'm pretty sure the stats back that statement up.

Yea I don't think that's really even up for debate. The problem is the enormous discrepancy between the stats from before this year to now. The cause of that discrepancy is the million dollar question. Flame me all you want, but i just can't wrap my head around it by chalking it up to Ryan simply regressing over night.

The footwork in this ridiculous scheme is insane. The QB is running sometimes 10 yards before doing anything with the football.

It's no wonder a get back and unload guy like Matt is having no luck with it. It's like watching football from 30yrs ago.

But but we are 5th in YARDS and RGIII was awesome
