falconfanEST1989
MYSELF........I've sat back and read all the topics about who to blame, and yes TD, AB, KS, Ryan, Oline, Pass rush, are a big issue. but i decided to look in the mirror and take blame too...FOR WHAT?! you ask.. For being a biased fan..... The last time this team was good was Matt Ryans 3rd year.. the year we lost to the Packers in the Playoffs.. i think that game we were out played, the better team won.. that year was magical. we all complained about needing pass rush that year but never got it.. we did get JJ and i love me some JJ (PAUSE).. When i look Back at the past 4 years, 5 including this year, we were not very good.. We weren't "EXPLOSIVE" JJ rookie year, we were an average team with no pass rush, got beat in the playoffs scoring only 2 PTS. the 13-3 year was a mirage guys, 13-3 could've easily been 9-7. let me explainCam Got that 1st down against us in the 4th.. we got a favorable spot then they punt when they should've went for it.. Ryan throw a hail mary that Roddy catches to put us almost in fg range.. we win by 2. 30-28, 2 weeks later Ryan has a 3 into day against the 1-4 Raiders. but Asante takes an into 80 yards to the house with 2:20 left on the clock. puts us up by 7. raiders drive and score to tie with 40 sec. we get in FG range and win by 3. few weeks later Ryan has a 5 into day against the cards, And Fitz drops the ball on 4th and 2 at our 5 yard line. we win by 4. and then away agaist the Bucs Grimes makes an amazing diving into with the Bucs in fg range to seal our win by 1.. 4 games that the Falcons played like SHlT and we should've lost.. i won't even add the Seahawks game.y'all know what happened the last 2 years, that brings me to this year.. as a fan i knew we weren't a good team.. we didn't make the Splash in FACY, we didn't address major holes, but i still thought new coach new team.. Mr Blank is a COPY CAT owner.. Every teams explosive, so he wants to be explosive, then every team is a defensive juggernaut, so he wants to be a juggernaut.. Next year I'm not gonna put faith in the Falcons to be a great team that will contend for the Super Bowl , I'm just gonna hope they are better than this year. falconrej
It is not AB. Blame the uneven philosphy shift on TD. The falcons have no vision. We need a GM/HC combo who knows what type of team they want to build, and an owner who will trust them to build it. Like the Bengals, Marvin Lewis would have been fired if he worked for AB. Small progress usually mean sustained success, instant success usually mean no progress.

autigerfan
You could literally say any winning team is just a few inches or lucky breaks from mediocrity. Good and great teams seem to come out on top of those situations more times than not.

Jesus
I never understood why some people get so upset. Maybe they are young and don't have much in their lives good or bad to affect them. It's just a game. Sometimes its like a soap opera. Things will swing back for this team. They just need to believe in themselves.

Clark Kent™
There comes a point in every game where i feel we don't deserve to win so i have been at peace with most of our losses because they are in large part due to turnovers or simple errors. When you repeatedly have the same errors then you should lose.
FalconJim
Hang in there, bro. ---- the tide will swing our way again ---- it usually does. It may be 3 or 4 years, though ---- so, until then, Valium may be your best bet...

PHALCONABERNATHY
It's not just you. All true fans of their team are biased and don't understand why their team sucks so badly and you hate to get roasted by other fans of other teams but that's football. I too, have been guilty of being a biased fan. You have to change your mentality and actually realize, this team sucks. I'm still a fan, but I'm tempered my expectations and it's helped me greatly. When you can do that, football becomes much more enjoyable.

Been losing since that Fiesta bowl screw job. Believe me, I'm familiar with losing. Shnikies
A few years ago I would have been inconsolable. Stick with this team long enough and you'll know its their MO to get your hopes up only to crush them in the end. I've readied myself for it the past few years so the crushing disappointment isn't so bad. Edited December 12, 2015 by Shnikies

Tuggle'2
Don't know about anyone else, but the day I don't look at every new season with fresh new eyes and excitement is the day I quit watching football. I really don't care if I am ultimately disappointed in the end. That is part of the experience and I have no problem coping with it.
