xianshino
http://www.joebucsfan.com/2015/12/mccoy-piles-on-loafing-falcons/ Gerald McCoy Piles On Loafing FalconsDecember 10th, 2015 Says Falcons gave upSunday’s now legendary 3rd-and-19 run by America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, had a lot to do with the pure quit in the Falcons.Joe’s written about that, but it’s much more fun to hear it from Gerald McCoy.McCoy hopped on the Buccaneers Radio Network last night and explained what he saw.“Go back and look at the play and look at Jameis’ speed, and how he was playing, as opposed to look at the Atlanta Falcons and the speed they were playing at,” McCoy said. “That had thought he was down, guys walking around, jogging to him. Even when he started running again, guys were just jogging, ‘Oh, we’ll get him down.’ And Jameis was running for his life. You could just see the difference in how he was playing opposed to how the other team was playing. I mean, you just, we want it, man.”Again, here’s video of the play. Former Bucs defensive end Adrian Clayborn was the lead quitter on the Falcons. After an effortless showing like that, and if the Falcons lose their final four games, Joe wouldn’t be shocked if Atlanta owner Arthur Blank does something drastic. xianshino
Not sure if we quit. We certainly quit after that play. If one of our guys dove on the pile to hit Winston we probably would have been flagged for personal foul. damned if you do, damned if you don't. Catch
Guest Gritz
McCoy isn't wrong. Most athletic contests (unless there's an obvious mismatch as far as talent goes) comes down to who wants it more. There are a lot of Charmin-soft players on the Falcons roster who are just collecting checks.I hope that Quinn already knows who they are and sends them packing in this upcoming offseason. BLM
Wonder if our soft team is because we need a coach that will be submissive to our GM Tommy Dimitroff. You see Jim Harbaugh's team isn't soft but he also doesn't have a soft personality. Same with Rex Ryan.Of course those big personalities would clash with our metro vegetarian GM.
Mr. Lubba Lubba©
Not sure if we quit. We certainly quit after that play. If one of our guys dove on the pile to hit Winston we probably would have been flagged for personal foul. damned if you do, damned if you don't. Catch 22My sentiments exactly. We just got penalized for piling on before that, and I'm not entirely convinced we wouldn't have been penalized again if they made sure he was down especially since his forward progress was stopped.Just an unfortunate situation but doesn't excuse the initial tacklers from making the **** tackle to begin with. clownorg
you have to start before you can Quit...This team hasn't started since week 6... sure they talk the talk every Monday...but I ain't seen **** on Sunday since October
DMT11
But itt was smitty fault, or whoever the past DC was that we wanted to blame, entire new coach and coaching staff, really I think this starts at the top, Blank is all around the branch shaking hands and kissing babies. If I made the Falcons I be like sheeesh I made I got at least a few years to perform then I might get cut. This has been an issue for as long as I can remember after the super bowl, every year we hear this.
Mega Flare
Clayborn was JOGGING! I didn't even notice that until I read this. That entire play was surreal, and I bet Dimitroff soiled his shorts a little.
jb 3.0
America's qb? Ha! I'm going to pukeMost Buc fans are with you. These two joebucsfan ******** are ridiculous homers (yes, there's actually two of the idiots referring to themselves in the 3rd person and calling Winston America's Quarterback) that believe they know everything there is to know about the Bucs, and that their opinions are solid fact. which is pretty much never. You might relate it to Gazoo having his own Falcons website, difference being Gazoo would get maybe 15 hits a day from 12 year old Falcon fans, where jbf gets thousands, not exactly sure why.jbf is right about two things though. Clayborn is a stiff, and most of us are glad he's gone, basically because he takes plays off, and the fact that Winston is quickly becoming a real threat at the QB position.Honestly.......would you REALLY rather have Ice Pick at age 30 over Winston at age 21? Tribal Chief
Real talk, I was always taught (no I didn't play any major football) to always make sure the opponent is laying on the ground before letting up. I'm not gonna say they gave up but it is a good argument from Mccoy

Reed, Claiborne, Durant...The further we go the harder it's going to blame the past regimes. After the 3rd and 19 I was wondering if the team was Quitting on Quinn... Catch 22Maybe so but Worrilow and Reed completely whiffed on the tackle. If they would have simply wrapped Winston up we wouldnt be having this conversation. Sun Tzu 7
Phase one of talking out Smitty's trash started this year. Can't wait for Quinn for Phase 2 to get started this offseason. Quinn is doing alot of reshuffling this offseason again. Going to take a while to completely eliminate the stink from the Smitty-ball era.Again, 3 of the 4 guys mainly responsible are Quinn pickups from this season.I guess Quinn needs to cut the guys he just signed. Maybe this will be an annual process and we'll be in a state of constant rebuilding... It will be like the 90s all over again...

BINGO!!!!People seem to forget the Smith's owned the Falcons when they went to the Super Bowl, not that 70's pornstar mustache wearin' fool that thinks he knows more than most football people. Keep that dipstick way from your team, and you may have a chance at building something. Then again, I don't see him suddenly becoming a non control freak. Sun Tzu 7
Still a sea of trash from the Smitty era. It is going to take some time to clean up this **** show Smitty left behind. Rome wasn't built in a day.Quinn will get the job done. This is still far from his ideal team with his ideal players.Again... most of the guys responsible on that play are Quinn pickups.... they never played for Mike Smith. At some point you have to start looking at the staff that is in place and that play is the start for me.Players play good it's Quinn but when they play bad it's Smith/TD.... please
JDaveG
I don't blame Smitty, but I have to say there are a whole lot of soft players on this team. Gritz hit the nail on the head. If Quinn can identify the loafers and excise them, we'll be much better next season. If he can't, this team will continue to flounder. At the end of the day, you can blame a whole lot of things, and there are a whole lot of things wrong, but the biggest is the first 5 games for the most part the team had a pulse. Lately, a bunch of dudes have decided to mail it in. The perfect scheme with the perfect players will never work on either side of the ball if dudes just don't want to play. That 3rd and 19 play was absolutely a microcosm of what's wrong with this team. It's a microcosm of what's been wrong with this team since 2013. Nobody wants it. I'd love to see us step up against the Panthers and smash them, but I see nothing to indicate we will. The Panthers are going to have to lay down for us to win. This team has too much quit in it. That's not a coaching issue, and it never was. Smitty needed to go, no doubt. But when you have a new coach come in and see the same problems, it ain't the coaching. Not to say the coaches couldn't do better, but they can't fix this. Someone has to show some heart. BankerBird™
Just saw this article on Twitter. Unbelievable but not all that unexpected, to be honest with you. This team has no heart at all.

BankerBird™
I would suggest that someone should post this in the Falcons locker room as inspiration for Sunday's game at Carolina, but I seriously doubt it would do any good whatsoever. Sun Tzu 7
What part of this is far from Quinn's ideal team do you not understand. This thing will take time. By the time Quinn is done it will look nothing like it does with these soft scrubs out there on the field right now.I guess I don't really understand how it will look so different when most of the players responsible for the loafing were 'Quinn guys.'Is he going to cut them this offseason and bring in different players?
