PittsCreek
The redzone play calling is horrendous...that's great we can move between the 20s...maybe we will be able to win without getting a td

Flying Falcon
Why do these people keep using meaningless stats? Those stats don't put no more points on the scoreboard than what we had when we lost the game before. EVERYONE sees how this offense is and those stats are crap and meaningless. likeriver
I've never seen this team move the ball so well. Ever. We move the ball down field like butter. We punt like once a game. But for some reason we can never capitalize on it. That's ****** up. It's like something out of the twilight zone. Wake me up. notthatcool
How many of the 17 turnovers is KS responsible for?Well I asked a legit question. But I'll play along. He hasn't turned the ball over. Has he put his players in the best position to win? That is what good coaches do. Saban, bellichick, Carroll they have never scored a TD. But somehow they have always have teams that compete for championships.
Flying Falcon
Then you've missed the point...No cap, I've got the point 200 threads ago when the 1st person posted the same stats. Stop Bruh, just stop with the stats man. Shanahan has screwed up our Lambo by taking it to the Jiffy Lube to get the oil changed. Now, it's not running good at al.. Once he masters this offense, he will outpace his previous stats.
notthatcool
Plus, most of these numbers were put up the first six weeks. When if you remember we fell behind early and had to put up a ton of yardage to get to 5-0. What do our stats look like the last five weeks since teams have film on us? I have no idea. My contention is that if the scheme is good moving the ball up and down the field (and the stats clearly show that's the case) then what's happening in the red zone? My whole goal for this post is to move beyond the "zomg Shanahan sucks" posts. Let's go in depth with it. If it's play calling well, show it. If it's turnovers or execution, show it. Let's learn from each other instead of the knee jerk nonsense...

It looked as if you were going with the "shanny is putting up numbers but it's the players fault for turning the ball over" argument I've seen on here a million times. I don't have the answers to why. Every QB in this league throws stupid interceptions. Every RB in this league fumbles.
etherdome
Why should Cap stop? He is trying to create a forum for debate. That is a sign of intelligence. If you have a beef with Shanahan's scheme, then illustrate it. What I see is a much-improved run offense, despite a patchwork OL made up of mostly mediocre cast-offs. I see open receivers that are ignored and errant passes that undermine the precision needed to run this offense. I am not a Ryan basher. I am just pointing out that Matt Ryan needs to focus on becoming a better QB. I think that he can, but I am disappointed that it will take the entire season and possibly longer. mc
How many of the 17 turnovers is KS responsible for? Who knows but it could easily be most of them. Again the read and react offense makes it easy to throw int or fumble. Shanahan has tried create read action with a pocket passer. Which has caused at least 3 fumbles. Also this garbage of throw to Julio if at all possible leads to ints.
etherdome
Ryan needs to find Steve Young and Joe Montana in the off season and ask them to recommend a personal QB coach.

Every QB in this league throws stupid interceptions. Every RB in this league fumbles. Here's the thing though, we have enough people on this board with game pass that can post images, break down plays and illustrate their points (myself included). Based on face value and what I've seen, I have a hard time thinking the scheme is only a bad fit in the red zone or that KS loses the ability to call plays when the team hits the 20 yard line. I can't accept those as reasonable answers.I haven't done the homework so I don't know what the answer is but I'm certainly willing to do so. Just think this type of discussion would be far more worthwhile than what we've been having...
