So Unlike A Lot Of People On This Board, Matt Believes Shanahan.

I don't believe in Ryan putting up more points than Tyrod Taylor in fantasy. Fortunately this week I'm guaranteed to win so I can afford to play him.

I applaud your commitment to not blowing out your opponent by starting Ryan

At least you'll give him a sliver of hope

I read where he was "overwhelmed" with Shanny's offense. Is it possible to be "overwhelmed" yet believe that the person that has you "overwhelmed" will some how collaborate with you and win a lot of games? This sort of statement keeps me on the roller coaster ride. I'm trusting Ryan when says things. But this contradicts what was said in a previous article:

According to ESPN, Ryan has gotten so frustrated that he decided to voice his offensive concerns to Shanahan "behind closed doors."

"This (offensive playbook) isn't the most confusing thing in the world," Shanahan said, earlier this week.

Matthew is the definition of company man, I don't believe anything he says to be his true thoughts.

Making 100+M, he is the company. He should say whatever the h3ll is the problem AND demand that it change or leave. The OC should be Ryan's assistant...point blank. Do you really think that Manning and Brady would let someone come in and disrupt what they've been successful at? Grow a pair Ryan...and start demanding. You have everyone backing you up. If you are playing hurt, stop leading us on...this is way past ridiculous.

Manning proved that his first year in Denver. Guy installed his own offense and to little surprise, it worked

Do you honestly think that Ryan would go to the media to voice complaints about the coaching staff? What in his past has ever indicated that he would do that?

Of course, Julio hasn't done it before either, until yesterday when he basically put the blame squarely on Shanahan.

Given Shanahan's past, and his actions at times this year, I think it's extremely obvious where the problem lies, Ryan's just being a team leader & not calling out those responsible in the media.

Some of you guys obviously haven't been paying attention the past 8 years...

Ryan is just an extension of the Falcons PR department.

Shanahan could be stalking Ryan's wife and Ryan still wouldn't say a bad word about him.

you do that privately inside the locker room. You don't do that in the media.

....but its okay when Roddy does it? C'mon....

Did I say it was okay for Roddy?

But it actually is more okay for Roddy or JJ to do it than Ryan. QB is the natural leadership position for the team & you don't want your leader going out to the media making statements like that. It brings too many distractions that the team doesn't need. Preferably everyone would keep the issues in-house, but that just doesn't happen.

Are we supposed to feel the same as the players? And do players truly share how they really feel about certain people or things when things aren't OK

EXACTLY!

players know which side their bread is buttered on, and we've seen plenty of examples, albeit a different staff I think it could happen now too, of players griping and moaning and suddenly benched and gone.....

sidbury, massequoi even Abe come to mind immediately. This regime pretty much did that with spoon too IN MY OPINION once he complained about douglas being let go, he wasn't too far behind him

Nah...I wasn't saying that you said it....but Ryan has to get a message across instead of appearing to just go with the flow.
