HotLantaFalcon
they didn't get any last week either. Unfortunately for Teddy Bridgewater, Seattle reintroduced him to the turf 4 times, but he was rested up for them.
The Rock
Thank Thomas Dimitroff for this terrible defensive front 7.No pass rushers. Only Schofield and Beasley have any pass rush talent. The rest should not be on the field on passing downs.I blame TD and Brian Cox.
obmann
Yes thanks to Dimi! But today Beasley looked really lost at the field. That was a very dissapointing perforamcne. He was owned from the Bucs o-line

I Even Bleed Red
I never understood that. Yes it is MORE important to affect the QB, to get him off his spot so he's not comfortable and they lose that down. But sacks provide something hurry ups don't. Loss of yards! That make the NEXT DOWN more difficult. How could loss of down AND loss of yards be overrated? It changes the play call for the next down and gives the defense an advantage. obmann
I miss John abraham. The one man pass rush.....this one man more pass rush than now.....John you was great......You had some fantastic games in the past. I have tears in my eyes, when I think at these games. Now the falcons are the worst pass rushing team in the NFL Worst bottomAnd that is a bad sign for the GM, but also for a HC, who has a defense approach! Falcons_own_nfc_south
What's the point of affecting the QB on first down but can never put pressure on third down
HotLantaFalcon
I hear they are now saying that TD's and wins are overrated as well. the future is all about field goals and draft positioning! ... at least according to current Falcon Philosophy. Although at this point in the season I agree with them about draft positioning, winning now will only screw up a high draft pick (we'll just let Dimitroff handle that part)

zzfrow
Converting 3 and 19 is overrated!Well you know you can't expect the Falcons players to tackle everyone, even when three defenders have said player in their grasp.
pzummo
Our offense scored 19, with 10 of those coming off of our defense creating 2 turnovers. We kicked 4 FG's and only scored 1 TD. How can people complain about sacks when our defense has actually played far better than our abysmal offense.

MilleniumFalcon
If this defense had 2 good pass rushers, it would easily be top 10. A lot of people wanted to trade for Houston a few years ago but too bad that never happened. TD just can't pick pass rushers.
GleasonForever!
It's called wanting better for our team. Yes our defense has improved but is it Championship caliber? The defensive performances this year has caused some of you to settle for mediocracy. If OUR very own Head Coach says we can do better at rushing the passer then why do posters attack other posters on here for saying we need more pass rush and better defensive players. The battle is one before it begins. It starts with personnel. We need better players who can get constant pressure for Gods sake. I bet we have the lowest total of sacks from the DT position because our ends get no help.....wait we do and we have the lowest sack total in the NFL. SmhStop settling for improved stats from last year. Seattle got 4 sacks today against Minn who we just played last week with the same defensive scheme. 4 sacks and only allowed 7 points. Wake Up! PeytonMannings Forehead
No one is settling for improved stats. The OP made the assertion that this defense is no better than last year which is just flat out not true.
ZoneOne01
One of my biggest issues with this team is that we don't have a single good pass rusher or linebacker. How on earth does that happen? Not even one.
