Once outlawed, there should be a buy back program and guns collected turned over to our military. Then we need to give law enforcement more power to do searches for these weapons as they perform their routine duties. Until government grows a set of balls, criminals will continue to slaughter whomever they have a vendetta against, and we'll continue to b¡tch and moan. Something makes me mad so i gotta protest against it and that turns to roits. Reaction turns to hate and hate turns to the darkside.No one trusts the police (unless they need they. Then they are godsends)We highlight violence in society. Its taught at a very young age. Everyone is scared to offend anyone. 1 person complains and we take christ out of all christmas plays. Someone needs to stand up and say **** them. Don't like it, don't watch it. People come over here and one adopt christmas as a holiday but then they want us to change everything because it offends them. I knew people like that. a couple came from another country. Was trying to get into the Christmas spirit, but it was based on gifts and snow.Its a shame we still deal with racism in todays world. But it will never die. The media and government uses that to take focus off them. Nothing makes people forget how crappy we got things today like racism. if we unite the Whites, Black and Hispanics alone. Nothing would be impossible to change.But im off topic. Cops have guns. They are just to scared to use them. You cant take the peoples guns because it wont stop the criminals from getting them. No citizen needs a assault rifle, but make the penalty steep if your caught with one. Military grade weapons should be only for the military. Deadly force should be allowed by cops in any case using them. Bad gun has a machine gun. Shoot first ask questions later.Government is going bankrupt and all we do is borrow more money from China. before long we will be the USC. united states of china. Big_Dog Posted December 22, 2015 Author Share Posted December 22, 2015 My point in simple terms. Law enforcement used to carry .38 revolvers in the 30's thru the 60's. When the bad guys showed up with 9mm and 45's in the 70's law enforcement had to step it up and depending on the department, .357 mag's and 9mm were standardized. Moving into the 80's thru 2000, most departments were using 40 to 45 cal weapons to level the battle field. Today departments are training with assault rifles to keep up with the hood. Where will this stop? The general population of criminals don't need assault weapons. If it gets worse, law enforcement will have to patrol in tanks instead of patrol cars. You aren't going to stop them from getting theres. Many gangs have fully automatics, how is that even possible when full autos are HIGHLY regulated. Gun laws are all founded on the principle of making a nation safer by limiting its civilian population’s access to guns, but laws against murder and violence do not apply to those who have given up on life and intend to die while killing as many people as they can. Laws against theft do not apply to a person who intends to steal something. The sole thing the criminally-minded care about is not getting caught. Some are reformed in prison, but in large part, those who want to break a law are not going to feel remorse when they are caught. Give them a chance and they will do it again. From this perspective, it is difficult to fathom the logic of enacting newer, stricter gun laws on an already lawful society. Most of us obey such laws. Sale of guns is forbidden within the city limits of Chicago, an ordinance that went into effect in 2010. For the year 2013, the city’s murder count is 374. There were 432 in 2010 and 500 in 2012. You make all guns illegal, the law-abiding citizens won't have them and the criminals will find them on the black market (now you have mob involvement), or they find other methods or both. Narcotic drugs are illegal, but people who want them bad enough will get them, and from very shady suppliers. This just highlights the difference between liberals and conservatives. Liberals are idealistic, thinking we should all live in utopia, and make laws because PEOPLE SHOULD ACT A CERTAIN WAY!
