The best two in this draft might end up being from Memphis and North Dakota State and that ought to scare the (expletive) out of you. It takes some courage to turn that card in." -- NFC scoutWith all the frenzy going on lately surrounding that position for the Falcons, just thought I'd put it out there. A Dog Named Brian
Sounds like one of the scouts is making it out to be a red flag since the QB's aren't from big time schools they might not pan out. What a jack***
PeytonMannings Forehead
Well, level of competition does have to go into the equation, especially with that position if you're talking about taking a QB with a high pick, meaning he'll probably be forced into the lineup sooner rather than later. True, but correlation=/=causation. I'd be more interested to see what kind of offensive systems the QB's were in. Mastering an NFL offense can be difficult. I don't keep up with college much but, I know alot of them run with almost no play book or very vanilla schemes. Simpler scheming does make sense though since the kids aren't there long. What a jack***I agree.. Because you can't win a Super Bowl unless you're from a big school. Big Ben -> Miami...of Ohio.. Flacco -> Delaware Breesus -> Purdue
PeytonMannings Forehead
I could turn in Paxton Lynch and not even blink, that kid is the real deal...I've been watching Lynch for two years. I wouldn't even include him in the small school because of what he did against Ole Miss.
since68andcounting
Waaaay too early to make a statement like that. Tom Brady 6th round. Aaron Rogers slides to bottom of first round. Ryan Lean #1 pick. If you need a guy to come in and start immediately (which we don't) you may be in trouble. But there are PLENTY of guys out there with potential and a good enough arm to become a franchise QB in this league. My money is on Chad Kelly. He looks like the next Brett Favre to me. PeytonMannings Forehead
I wonder what that scout thought about Tom Brady.I don't know that that would be an indictment considering everyone missed on Tom Brady -- even the team the wound up drafting him. papachaz
I thought the expectations are that Jared Goff (think that's his first name) from CAL might come out for the draft this year. That kid is gonna be special somewhere

Bobby.Digital
Dallas and Paxton Lynch seem like the perfect fit. Let him sit behind Romo for a couple years and he should be a good one.

paulitik
I could turn in Paxton Lynch and not even blink, that kid is the real deal...I can't remember who it was, maybe one of the NFL Network guys, but the scouts take on him was he needed to add mass, had questionable arm strength, and limited ability to throw on the run. Sounds like a familiar complaint around here.
