JD dirtybird21
So does this mean Mularkey and Koetter are genuises for making Ryan look like a great player??? Shanahan's playbook is the one that's Vanilla. He wants to force the ball to Julio and run it with Freeman. His offense is predictable. Ryan actually ran Koetter's offense beautifully in the no huddle

gazoo
Wonder how our previous very average offensive coordinators somehow hid Ryan's averagability and disguised it as some of the very top QB stats in the NFL over a 7 year period? Boy, that was a heck of a good trick!Incredible it is just now after 8 years the real guy is showing up, those other 7 years all a fake. coastiemike
Conversely, we went from a complex defensive scheme with Nolan to a simplified one with Quinn and.......we'll wait. Now stop that. You know good and well Ryan is the only one playing bad on this team. We have about 14 pro bowlers among our other positions.

Every leadership/coaching book I have ever read clearly says that the mark of a great leader is making everyone else around him mediocre and worse than they have ever been before. Mike Mularkey with Mariota: 92.8 rating.Kyle Shanahan with Ryan: 88.6 rating.Yeah, as a matter of fact, they do seem to be able to hide weaknesses of high draft picks. How can that not be on the OC and his schemes?Roddy and Julio also said defenses had us figured out and were also taking advantage of how slow we set up to snap by changing defense up last second. Nev in the past 7 years did I hear these kinds of things.

The problem with this team is not the QB in the middle of it but the poor offensive playbook that is clearly no longer working since week 5. Arthur put big money on him. His job is actually to make Ryan look good. That is the whole point of a Leader (Coach)
