Club212
Dan Quinn - HC, Todd Bowles is going through the same thing, rookie HC with early success then (not today for the Jets) bottoming out. They have to roll with the CHANGES! Other teams catch on if you simplify things. Richard Smith - DC, a solid veteran Defensive coach, so far, what he has to work with, is working, time will tell. Need a pass rush! Recent high end draft choices are nowhere to be found. This may be a TD problem! Raheem Morris - AHC, This baffles me...he's young, not proven, 3 years as HC in Tampa 17-31(enough said!)...I feel we should hire a proven, successful veteran HC as a mentor for Quinn! Bryan Cox - I used to hate his attitude as a player although he could be a beast at times...as a DL coach?...its just not working...or is the talent (TD) to blame? or smoking to many cigars? Jeff Ulbrich - LB's, young, inexperienced, I guess he's working out as I like the play of the LB's so far. Kyle Shanahan - OC, no success so far as an OC, could blame the past on having nothing to work with...I differ on what he has to work with here...said to target Julio 1st on every pass play? Becoming a joke, when was the last time a popular HC son became anything near the fathers resume'? Not happening here! Bobby Turner - RB's, had success under MIKE Shanahan, has talent at RB but think of this..Coleman was the starter in the begining of the year over Freeman (NOT!) 30 carries - 3 fumbles? No comment, something is just not right here. Chris Morgan - OL, I have no info on him, why did we lose Tice??? Again, something's not right...injuries? Matt LaFleur - QB's, worked under KYLE, enough said, thats why he's here! Wade Harman - TE's, had success under Tice on OL, I know, why is he here as a TE coach? As for the rest, holdovers from Smitty era, love to hear your thoughts!
Falconcheff
Quinn is learning how to transition from position coach to HC. I like some things for sure... the way he'll cut and sign guys is encouraging sign that he won't settle if he thinks he can upgrade a position. I'd like to see him hold the team to more accountability during this tough stretch. A 5 game winning streak to start his career has me intrigued to the possibilities of him moving forward... PASSRicard Smith... probably the guy who's doing the best job on our current staff... PASSShanahan... Took the best part of our team and broke it with mismanagement... FAILCox... Has brought nothing with him in two years... time to move on FAIL
since68andcounting
I keep wondering why Robiske is never held responsible for the ever increasing number of drops from our WR corp since Gonzo left. Who was the coach here, Robiske or Gonzalez? This Lafluer guy? Ryan has about the worst fundamentals in the league right now.
PokerSteve
Who knows? This is Quinn's hand-picked staff, including those he decided to keep from Smith's tenure. Will Quinn make changes just for the sake of change, to shake things up? Or does he believe in continuity and stability on the coaching staff? My guess is whatever changes that happen on this staff will be minimal and definitely won't involve Kyle Shanahan going anywhere. If I were calling the shots, Shanahan would be gone. And I would forbid the use of the phrase west coast offense anywhere on the premises. Also Cox would be gone. I don't know if he's the reason we still have no pass rush, but he obviously isn't the solution. LaFleur? Gone. Ryan's QB skills are in critical condition and the FO needs to bring in a specialist before he degenerates into complete helplessness. Gold4425
WR Coach TR imho is over rated and too ole school. He rarely develops young WR's or give them a chance. It was easy with JJ, RW but young guys like Hardy, Speedy Reedy and others weren't given a chance or weren't developed.

How you gonna teach WR drills when you're an old, fat dude? Sure, he can run the JUGS machine, but we need Hines Ward (or someone like him) as our WR coach

Club212
I guess everyone loves the fact that Raheem Morris is the Assistant HC? Whizz could do that & run the "O", great thoughts on bringing in Hines Ward for WR's...Coxx summary is on the $$$, sure we could find an upgrade there...QB coach? How's DeBerg or even ex QB starters Chandler or Miller if avail?...****, I'd bring back June Jones III if you can pry him away as an OC! Flying Falcon
You just can't keep cutting and signing new players. Eventually you have players that don't know what scheme you're running. ****, he did that during preseason with the OL and now you all are arguing about cutting Hawley and playing with Person. Fans are fickle and the same thing they're cheering for the HC to do, they'll be crying that he did it weeks later. Ex. You all where all happy that Hawley got cut because that meant changes were coming to the OL.......FINALLY!!!! But when Person couldn't hike the ball, then you all start these crying threads asking why did he cut our best center and now we're stuck with someone who hikes the ball to his balls. Sobeit
As much as I hate how this team looks right now and as unconvinced as I am that we have the right staff for the job. They deserve a fair chance. With that said I would give them all a big D- on the season so far. I will give them one more year to ID the problem and show improvement and get more players. We are devoid of talent as another article pointed out we have had 13 OFAs contributing this year. This offense needs help on the Oline and we need a solid TE that can block and threaten the seam.If anyone is in danger this year it should be TD. He has done a terrible job managing this roster but a great job managing the cap. However I am not sure how you fire the GM and get someone that is in high demand without giving him control over the staff. It only makes sense that this group is married to each other for at least another year. If there is another year like this one then I think everyone is fair game. Our front should improve just based on our younger players gaining experience but there are a couple of concerns there. However I think this off season plenty of attention should be given to long term answers at the interior of the Oline and TE.So in a nutshell this staff looks horrible so far but due to some mismanagement I think everyone top to bottom including TD have a get out of jail free card for this year. Next year if there is not significant improvement and we perform this poorly in the division they are all going to be unemployed. Flying Falcon
Shanahan doesn't deserve another chance. He IS the cancer. His history has shown and proven that he destroys offenses. He is the DESTOYER.

Sobeit
Shanahan doesn't deserve another chance. He IS the cancer. His history has shown and proven that he destroys offenses. He is the DESTOYER.I do not see it being all Shanahan granted he has some issues because he I think he could have done more this year. Still when I really think about what we did with the Oline this year and the fact we were desperate to get guys in I can not blame it all on him. Granted maybe they did not make the best decisions on some of the people they let go but I do not have all the details. Also I think you put too much of the blame on KS. If the rumors are true and they are losing this team, it is Quinns team and he would be directly responsible. It was his choice for OC so I think the decision would be Quinn's. Still I am not gonna scapegoat anyone for this total meltdown. However I would let them know that this will never be accepted again, and I let the last staff go for back to back seasons and this time I am cleaning house top to bottom. So do whatever you must to figure it out and make it right.
Flying Falcon
Shanahan is the problem. Whether you see it or not. Whether you accept it or not. His history tells another story and history never lie.

Monolith2001
My take:Dan Quinn - Keep - Had hoped for a man with more fire during the slide (maybe he has been behind closed doors) but he's got 2016 to show me more.Defensive coaches - Keep - While not mind blowing and totally sucked against Carolina, we have been kept in games by the defense all season long.Keith Armstrong - Keep - Not our best season but still pretty good on ST.Kyle Shanahan - Leaning heavy to release - I am not a hire and fire guy but our O looks atrocious and while not necessarily all Kyle's fault, it is his job to make it work. Three games left to show me something otherwise we need to bring in someone who can get these guys working better. I was one of those who didn't think he was all that to start but 5-0 made me believe we had something but looking like a flash in the pan.Matt LaFleur - Leaning to release - Like Shanahan, I'm not seeing the results to tell me he is keeper material. If Kyle goes, so should he. If Kyle stays, still see him as a release candidate.Other Offensive Coaches - Pick - If Shanahan is removed, I suspect they all could be getting their resumes together but if I were to keep any of the O coaches, it'd be Turner and Robiskie. RBs have looked good and while our passing game has had issues, I think scheme chemistry is the issue with our receivers (and QB).
Sobeit
Shanahan is the problem. Whether you see it or not. Whether you accept it or not. His history tells another story and history never lie. That is your opinion and you are more than entitled to it. It may actually be mine as well just not yet. However I think the right thing to do is to handle it in house and be willing to give everyone another year to show they can get this team on the right track. Expectations got way too high for this team after the fast start and everyone is now feeling the pressure from a monumental collapse. Firing people is the easy solution but you will in fact be staring at the same problem next year.
ramonezy
The coaches are very solid, just need time and better talent to teach and become comfortable in the respective systems. The sure sign of a losing franchise is one that blows it up at the first sign of adversity. I've seen enough on both sides of the ball to merit another go-round next year.TD should be out immediately though. PS Wade Harman is actually one of the best TE coaches there is. I was actually confused when we had him on OL.
