DirtyBird304
I put Matt Ryans POOR PLAY on Shanahan. Both of them have been terrible. Ryan has obviously thrown some balls he shouldn't have but clearly he is NOT COMFORTABLE in Shanahans offense. Shanahan needs to put his ego to the side and let Ryan do what he does best. Ryan was never like this with Koetter and you don't just regress like this overnight. He is not comfortable. Its like Peyton Manning in Kubiaks offense it just isnt the right fit

g-dawg
They don't mix together well.I agree. Outside of MR being hurt, this Ryan-Shannahan relationship is not working. We cannot get rid of the $20mm/yr QB with no replacement - so Shanny is gonna have to go.
clemumo82
So shanny should just scrap his system and let Ryan wing it? Great plan guy.not sure it could be much worse. Ryan calls plays in the no huddle and the second half of the TB game was the last time this offense has looked remotely good. Granted, the no huddle hasn't always worked. Really tired of Shanahan's arrogant attitude with so little to back it up.

The Shotfather
Shanahan is not throwing the ball to the other team. Don't get me wrong, the guy is an awful coordinator, but Ryan's poor play is on Ryan alone. The guy is one o the worst QB's in the league right now because he has no idea how to look off coverage or read a defense anymore. Somehow he just hit a brick wall of suck. I know there are some people that love them some Shanahan around here but it's just not working.Even Zimmer said that if Ryan's first read isn't there, he struggles. Well, it wasn't like that until this season. so..... buh bye Shanahan.
likeriver
They just asked an analyst what Matt Ryan's problem is, and he said he's struggling to make his reads once the 1st option is covered. Why is this? It's not like Ryan had that much of a problem before. I really think this somehow has to do with Shanahan's scheme.Edit: also because he's struggling with his other reads, it's hurting him because Julio is almost ALWAYS 1st read and (lo and behold) he's double/triple covered Edited November 29, 2015 by likeriver

Shaggy 2.0
I agree. Shanny playbook isn't good. His run blocking is NFL worthy but his pass game would work where?!? Give me one QB in the nfl right now that could run this O.... Maybe teddy bridge water... Miami's QB... I think Matt is tryin his best to grasp this and he will go down trying to fit into it. But why try to fit a square peg in a round hole. I think we go down with this ship this season. Hopefully make a change in the offseason. If Quinn has the marbles he'd make a change this season. Scrap Shanny pass game but keep his run attack Edited November 29, 2015 by Shagpill 2.
Rise
Shanny and Ryan...A match made in a toilet. Way to go front office people.Uh,, Quinn has equal power, and a direct line to Mr. Blank...It sounded good , at first, but everyone needs a GM...TOo much blame to TD....He's had some fault, but I would not give that power to a 1st time coach... The chance for "Chrony-ism" increases...It sounded as it... The gave him the job, and he chose his staff without interviews from TD or Ryan.. Look like a running game guru--without passing game. They listen to the people a bit too much, and the public outcry was.."We can't run it!!!" Sven
It's a mistake to continue to blame one person. The team, as a whole, through and through, is average. Coleman fumbles but runs well, Matt passes well then throws a pick, we run block well and then we pass block poorly, or vice versa, then defense does well then lets a ten minute TD drive go by with penalties and stupid mistakes. Shanny calls some awesome drives, then he calls some awful drives. The sum of this is an average team. Ultimately, if a QB regresses this much in a single year, a lot of the blame is laid at the coaching staff's feet, and it should be, but this team is bad because of pretty much every single player and coach, not just Matt, not just Shanny, not just Quinn. DirtyBird304
They just aren't meshing well together. Matt Ryan isn't comfortable and not playing confident. Matt Ryan just doesn't go from TOP 10 QB to being one of the worst this year. Thats SOLEY on Shanahan. Same thing with Peyton. You don't go from one of the BEST QBS and smartest to throwing 4 INTs in the first half. These systems don't fit well with a QB like them. vel
Lol so Kyle threw the two INTs and told Coleman to fumble? Of the drives we've had so far, have we punted? I don't think before this last drive we punted. The one drive we didn't turn the ball over on, we put up 3 points. The other drives, we turned the ball over. If Kyle was so bad, the offense wouldn't have been #4 in total yards and #8 in points. When we don't turn the ball over, we move the ball more times than none. No OC controls turnovers. AtlantaFalconPokerPro
So shanny should just scrap his system and let Ryan wing it? Great plan guy.Peyton for many years ran every aspect of his offense in Indy. He was given tons of freedom. Matt is a high iq qb, and has proven time and time he's clutch running up tempo, no huddle offenses. He's best calling plays from the los. Our idiot coordinator blows, and has complete control. We need a coordinator that has no ego, and that can work with Matt by creating a scheme that compliments Matt's skills. Shanahan obviously isn't the answer. Shaggy 2.0
Three points man. Just let that sink in. 3 flucking points. Pathetic. I want someone fired. Regardless of anything. How many offensive coordinators are out there that could do a better job with Matt and this offense. It's not hard.
diehardfalconsfan
i won't be happy until shanahan is gone. he is every bit as responsible for this sh8t show as ryan. He took a decent qb and turned him into total garbage, took a great receiver in white and made him an after thought, ignores the most dynamic running back in the nfl, and instead of making the system fit ryan he tries to make ryan fit a system he isn't good at.This arrogant, self centered, egomaniac is a quarterback killer and a total joke.
