I Find It Extremely Odd!

I've voiced my opinion on Ryan a few times before but yesterday it really dawned on me. It is Matt Ryan!!! Hear me out first please. Ryan is the comeback king essentially in the NFL but its only due to the fact that Ryan can't put games away. We get a one or two touchdown leads and he starts fizzling with our offense. I use to think it was Mike Smith, or it was the offensive coordinators but its not. How many times has Ryan EVER thrown 5 TDs in a game? We use to say it was Koetter but Winston threw 5 TDs in his first NFL season under Koetter with FAR LESS weapons. I'm sure our other offensive coordinators can also yield a 5 TD day or two for their past quarterbacks or some 4 TD but the fact is Ryan rarely ever reaches those numbers. It seems as though when the field gets shorter he goes into goof mode. He is probably the worst starting quarterback that I've seen in the red zone. Ryan is only a tad bit above an average quarterback, not even close to being elite. This season has solidified that. I now have zero faith in Ryan leading us to a superbowl and this isn't from his performance Sunday or this season, it is what I've seen his entire tenure here. He is on the last leg of his career. It's not happening guys, and its time to start looking to the draft to find his successor.

Even Cam who is not known as a great passer has had a 5 TD game and Ryan can rarely thrown 4 in a game in his 8th year. In his first game with at least 3 TDs thus year, he cancels it out with 3 interceptions. Matty Melt has to go before we waste Julio's great years.

The fact that Ryan's never thrown 5 TD's has always concerned me, and I've generally placed the blame on other people, but this time I think you might be right. Maybe it's just... Matt Ryan.

Last several years it was he can't throw four in a game and he has done that several times. Once he throws five in a game, the goal post will move yet again and it will be he can't throw six in a game. Whatever...

Did you see Cam's field position yesterday? His defense got him 3 fumbles and a interception. He only had like 192 yds when he got the 5 TD's.

You maybe entirely correct ... Ryan may become to cautious to keep the pedal to the metal. Some of it maybe because coaches have him throw primarily short to medium passes because he's better at that. In 4 or 5 TD games the Qb usually gets one or two of those with deep throws .. something that Matt does not do well.

Did you see Ryan's field posistion yesterday and in the 49ers game? Our defense has been creating turnovers too.

I think the Atlanta Falcons are cursed to be at best a pretender. I'm starting to think it will never matter who steps on the field it will always be the same old falcons. I'm to the point of honestly not knowing where to start in really changing the culture and turning the franchise around. Good thing Quinn is bald because he would already be pulling all his hair out.

Our D got two turnovers in Colts territory to start the game. 0 points...

Never said they weren't. I was just stating how Cam's defense literally handed him those 5 TD's.

Meh. Clearly they didn't hand it to him and it does take some effort on his part since when our defense did similar things for Ryan, he threw 0 TDs and 1 INT.
