Pick 6, Ryan Doesn't Even Make List Of Top 164 Qbs In Nfl History With Most

I suppose some don't like facts, so please just go away if you'd rather just whine and complain, this is for those looking for the truth.

Of the top 164 QBs in NFL history with the most pick 6's, Matt Ryan doesn't even make the list while many of his contemporaries do.

With Ryan being about halfway through his career at this point, you can also make an educated projection of what he could end up with and he will still be one of the better QBs in the NFL in this category. You also have to keep in mind how many attempts he's had over his career, way more than a QB 20 years ago would have half way through his career on whole.

This analysis was done in October of 2013 so you'd have to add a few to his total, but also have to add some to other QBs stil, playing too.

Man, gazoo, stop throwing up facts. It spits in the face of the haters who cry about Ryan, and then would be the biggest crybabies when Ryan is gone and we have a worse QB.

I though I requested the emoters to stay away from the thread. I know many of you will have worked through your feelings by tomorrow and can revisit the thread then.

Some of our fans here seem to think the QBs year always claim are so much better than Ryan don't throw pick 6's or that Ryan throws way more than them. This is complete BS.

Yes, Ryan throws pick 6s just like every other top NFL QB does, but he actually is one of the better QBs in NFL history at throwing less.

The pick 6 sucked, it was awful.

This thread is about how often he does it in comparison to the other great QBs going back decades. two entirely different points.

To. Brady, Peyton Manning, you name it have way more than he does even when projecting out entire careers.

Matt Ryan has 15 TDs and 10 ints.

Thats very very average. Like Mathew Stafford average.

And like the very average Andrew Luck who has 15 Tds and 12 INTs.

But as I've read a dozen times, stats don't really matter. I mean it's disregarded that Ryan is the only QB who has thrown for 250+ yards every game this season and has the longest active streak in the NFL of 250+ yards at 17 straight games.

If those stats are going to be disregarded, so should INTs.

The entire offense played bad with the exception of Jones and DiMarco.

While Ryan didnt have his best day he wasnt helped with poor running game and Hankerson dropping pass after pass.

This is what I'm getting to, there's a lot more than Matt Ryan wrong with our team. Brady and Manning still win games handily throwing pick 6's, we lose when Ryan does it.

Ryan shouldn't have to have perfect games for us to win. Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers, Luck , you name it, they still win playing imperfect QB.

Good point

People should note we are lucky to have a great QB in Matt Ryan even the best QBs can have bad games or make bad decisions.

Lets not forget Ryan is still playing behind a patch work O line. We get that fixed and everything on offense will work better.

Um Ryan has thrown over 100 interceptions since entering the league whereas Brady has thrown 60 during the same time frame..and Brady has thrown more touchdowns too even missing a whole year. And he doesn't have Julio who is one of the best receivers in the NFL. Maybe Ryan's poor play is the reason the Falcons lose did you ever think that... Edited by michael garvin

Not a good idea to pick out a single stat to prove your point. Luck has 55 through 3.5 years and I bet you would trade Ryan for Luck straight up.

agreed. single stat, single QB, no percentages........useless in the way he presented it.

How about interception percentage per pass attempts of all QBs over their first 7 years. That would tell us something.
