BuckheadFan
I am so frustrated. Matt Ryan throws a perfect ball, Julio makes a catch and takes either 5 or 6 steps. The NFL has to do a better job of figuring out what a catch is - I just saw Julio make a great one that was overturned.
BankerBird™
I concur it was a catch. Julio didn't lose control of the ball until he was clearly out of bounds.
raysnill1
I think if you get touched before the second foot comes down you have to maintain possession to the end of the catch. I don't know. but the fact Julio got that ball drop or not was amazing
droopy1592
Yeah I walked out of the dome after that call.

Guest Negatorris
Look if it was Hilton that made that play, we would be agreeing it wasn't a catch. Good effort by Julio but he didn't hang on when it mattered most.
WPGFALCONSFAN
It was not a catch. The rules are pretty clear. Its still a ******** rule, but a rule non the less. Edited November 22, 2015 by WPGFALCONSFAN
A Dog Named Brian
With the way officiating and rules have gotten in this league, it's getting as bad as the NBA if not worse. The dunces in the NFL Offices don't even know what a catch is anymore, it's screwed many teams, and we were one of them today. Lord Sarcomere
I don't even think the refs know what a catch is or isn't these days. I know I sure as **** don't.
jidady
He had the ball, the defender touched him, and his butt hit the ground. He's down at that point. The fact that he has to maintain control after his down under current NFL rules is just insane.

va2gafalcons
But he was on the ground when they knocked the ball out.
Domed Outter
Has to complete process of a catch all the way through. Wasn't classed as a runner so no way is that a catch.I applaud his efforts, though. He's putting in the work others should be following. Chunkey9
It wasn't a catch because they ruled that it wasn't a catch
I Even Bleed Red
Cut out the excuses. It was reviewed and confirmed. Also confirmed not a catch in Los Angeles. The fact that it even came down to a play like that is more ridiculous to me.
BankerBird™
The bottom line is the Falcons should never have been in that situation to begin with.
slamee101
Y'all are reaching right now. Great throw and effort by JJ but the bottom line is the rules have been pretty consistent over the years since Calvin Johnson. Have to control it when you go to the ground. Is This What You Want?
Wouldn't have mattered because if it was a catch then he would have been down in bounds and time would have run out.

sdogg
The rule sucks. But the Falcons suck even more.
