Draftnut57
What's up with Roddie White.?? I mean really, What is going on with him, I really do want to know, Is his days done.. Is there a time he's suppose to be his old self? Is there a injury I don't know about.. He used to be our go to guy when we needed a for sure 15 yards. Maybe I'm living in the past , or what ever.. If he is not hurt and can't perform anymore, I mean, I hate that but we got to have a WR to take his place. Hankerson was doing a great job before he got dinged .. I guess my question is ,,, Is White;s days over after this year... I hate to say it, but if there is not some reason I don't know about, He needs to be a fan now.. I'm just asking ???? What is your opinion ?? I do know this , we need to draft a really good WR next draft. I misspelled Serious ....
hjerry
Is he getting old? YesIs he as good at separation as he was in the past? NoIs he now unable to get open? NoHe's on about the same level as he was last season, only now we're inexplicably not interested in throwing him the ball even when he is open. It's like he's in a daze thinking,, I can't believe how old I've gotten in the last year.... Either that or he's to old to learn a new scheme. Draftnut57
I have no idea what you're talking about or where you're getting this from.Have you forgotten how he has been one of the main O# players for us for the last several years.. ?? I'm not blaming him. Maybe he's having a hard time getting used to the new system like many on the team. I think he has aged more this past off season than any other year.. That's all I can think of... But a new system is probably even more the reason.. I mean , do you think he is producing like he has in the past.. ? *Old Pappy Falcon*
Roddy excels with an oldschool O.C. .........This Newschool O.C. won't let him sharpen his pencil. noemsayn?

*Old Pappy Falcon*
The Enquirer said something about him being lost. One of the most reputable newspapers I've ever read. The also said Shanahan was the greatest mastermind in the NFL.

Clark Kent™
I don't see Roddy getting open as often as people say on here. I rarely see him beat man coverage. He still has value as a savy route runner with good chemistry with Ryan, but i have zero problem with him not being heavily targeted. Especially now with Hankerson back in the mix. PokerSteve
He's not being thrown the ball. He's still getting open. I have no idea where you're getting this thing about him looking lost.Agree. Regardless of how much speed he may have lost over the past season, he's getting open because JJ and Tamme and Free are getting all the attention. As we were all saying preseason ~ how is a defense going to cover all of our weapons? Somebody will always be open. Roddy should regain his place in the pecking order in the second half for that reason alone.
egoprime II
It is obvious to me, that our OC has no idea what he is doing. His system is the end all be all. Shanahan refuses to make proper use of our players...he does not play to our players strengths...and we pass the ball way too much even though our line is much more suited for running the ball. We cannot even make use of play action because we do not run the ball enough. White should be running these short routes that Jones is running. It is -infuriating- to me, that our team could be undefeated right now if not for Shanahan's BS play calling. Not targeting White is one reason we are on a losing streak right now. Guest Negatorris
I guarantee Roddy would be a 900-1000+ yard receiever on the Patriots or Cardinals this year.

JJC28
LOL our QB has time for the 2nd guy and thats it. The rest is on your oc to get him the ball. Or better yet get a center that can help his QB.
Draftnut57
I guess it goes back to the post I made about us not keeping the O# plays that we won so many games with. 1. We needed the NEW running game, 2. We needed the new D#, but 3. We had a great passing game that seems to have taken a hard hit and trust me when I say, This change is our hold up this year. If a few can swallow pride and ask Ryan what plays they should keep that would help our O# , then we could continue our trip to a Super Bowl... Or else ,, not even make the playoffs. It all goes back to my rant that we should have left our passing game alone, added that to the new D# and Run game,, would have equaled a top 5 team this year. But I'd say it's looking like it will take them all this season to figure it out... Sad....for the fans.

octoslash
Different factors. Roddy White is slowing down, and the O line isn't very good at pass blocking. And Matt Ryan HATES his OC, Helen Keller could see that. Add to it a bunch of guys terrified of dropping the football, and voila! A dysfunctional offense.
