Funny how Super Bowls are a team stat, but it takes a receiver catching a ball and getting yards to get a QB stats. Not to mention an Oline to protect him so he can get the ball out without being sacked.

......but thats none of my business.....

Manning is 1-2 in the Super Bowl.

He is not the GOAT.

Manning doesn't play defense, manning doesn't pass protect, manning doesn't kick fgs.

What he does is become the all time nfl passing yardage and td leader.... ever.

G.o.a.t

Brady has done more with less his entire career.

Manning is a choke artist that can't get it done when it matters.

I seem to remember an inept Manning being blown out in the Super Bowl.

......but you stick to your delusions.

When breaking records is more important than being 5/20 with 4 INTs, and being benched, there is a problem.

He had a QB rating of 0.0........

0.0

Brady has NEVER had a game like that.

No matter how many times you try and reframe the argument, wins and losses are a team stat. Brady hasn't done more, otherwise he would be the all time leader in yards and td and plays on a team that always gets caught cheating every other year.

Name a HOF WR that Brady has played with besides Moss.

Now name all the HOF talent that has been around Manning.

You can not be naive enough to even pretend that Brady has had the talent that Manning has.

.....and yet, those Super Bowl appearances. Say what you want, but Manning has only been to 3 Super Bowls and lost 2 of them. Brady has been the 6 and only lost 2.

Name another QB that has been to 6 Super Bowls......Ill wait...

Brady has had the best coach of this entire generation his entire career. Does that count for anything considering the parity of talent in the NFL? Brady wasn't truly elite in many minds until he had Randy Moss to throw too.

The Patriots are 9-0 right now. Where is Randy Moss?

Tom Brady already had 2 rings before Moss.

Also, Joe Montana is heralded as one of the GOAT, yet he had Bill Walsh.

So, again, I do not see your point there.

I said before that year he finally had an elite receiver he wasn't viewed as elite by many. I'm agreeing with you if you look between the lines. I was just leveling the playing field in case anyone else wasn't smart enough to come up with an actual defense.

Tom had 3 before Moss.

Yup and Brady is probably my QB if i'm making a team. I'm just saying opinions can differ. Both will have their reasons.

If I need a clutch play I am picking Brady over Manning EVERY TIME. You can have all the records in the world, but can you make the plays when it matters? Manning cant, period.

If your logic isn't consistent then how do you establish that it applies to the situation at which you are attempting?

In other words, your reasoning also applies to the ryan vs romo debate or you can't apply it to the manning vs brady debate.

I refuse to comment on those other two QBs. I will not help you deflect the subject of this argument.

If you want to talk about those other two QBs make a thread.

I compared success rate in the Super Bowl, YOU made it about playoff depth. So that is YOUR argument, not mine.

Peyton is 1-2 in the Super Bowl and Tom is 4-2.

Advantage, Tom, end of argument.

The point in this league is to win the championship. Not break records. Im sure Brady is upset that he doesn't own more records than Manning. I guess all those Lombardis will have to console him.

I will not say their names, but there were two other QBs in the 80s with this very same argument. I also went with the one with 4 Super Bowl wins.

Fancy that, going with the champion, not the one that only had success on an individual level.
