Weems Top Ten In Kick And Punt Returns

Recommended Posts

Well yall boys already know I love some Weems. Just the kind of football player I like. Hard nosed competitor. Comes to play every game. Will do whatever you need him to do. Leader.

Even though he's lost a step, he's currently second in punt returns at 12.7 ypr and eighth in kick returns at 25.6 ypr.

Not many returners can bring back both punts and kicks. He can. He's probably the only Falcon returner that was top three in punt and kick returns.

Dude is also a helluva gunner and has some WR skills. I think we need to use him more on offense until Hester returns.

Yeah, I love me some Weems.

I have come to the conclusion this year that many of the people around here don't actually really understand what it is they're watching and how to properly guage what it is happening. So much nonsense being spewed daily that just makes me literally shake my head.

It's baffling to see people asking to have Weems replaced. Yet another example of AFMB people not understanding the game at all.

Speaking of which, when will the next "Trade Roddy" thread come along?

The trade Roddy threads are nothing when compared to the "Cut Roddy" threads. I can't even wrap my head around it. It's like "Yeah!! That'll show em!!"

Coming off of a turf toe injury I'm not even sure Hester will be that much better than Weems.

I don't know, Gritz. I'm thinking he's gonna be good and healthy by the time he returns, and we could see some magic.

I like Weems a lot. But Hester has that human highlight reel capability.

Remembering when Sanders had the toe thing for years, but when he stepped on that field, it was on.

Hope that you're right Euphoria and I'm dead wrong.

Weeks deserves all the credit he can get. Personally i think his style is exactly what teams need to look for more often when it comes specifically to punt returns. Man if he had just a little more breakaway speed he might've been up there with the all time greats. It should surprise absolutely zero people how good he's been.
