We wouldn't have a better record with Cam, Carolina has an awesome defense. Honestly it's not about Ryan or Cam the problem with this team is play calling and design. If we had a better OC I'd like our chances vs Cam and the Panties but as of now it seems like they'll easily sweep us. If Shanny was smart he would've came in with the mindset of fixing the run game and implementing that into the existing offense. Do that and let Quinn work the defense and we'd be odds on favorites this season.

Cam is putting up points, PASSING to WHAT RECEIVERS?! Not running around and scrambling. Cam is throwing BOMBS! Defense is what it is, and our defense isn't BAD. Middle of the pack. That's what we wanted. But we know what happens when you take Julio away from Matt Ryan, losing seasons. Cam lost Benjamin in pre-season and is STILL throwing bombs to WR's who were pumping GAS during the off season. So you're telling me that Cam, Julio, Devonte, Tamme, Roddy, Hank, wouldn't be undefeated and the most dangerous offense in the league? Or are you saying that Matt Ryan could throw a 56 yard ROPE-BOMB to.....Ted Ginn Jr. and FUNCHESS....to go point for point with the Packers in the rain?

The defense is more than middle of the pack. Number 2 run defense and number 10 overall defense.

Cam Newton is only as good as long as he's a running threat. His passing effectiveness is tied to that. Teams will always load the box, because he's a physical runner. If Matt Ryan was throwing a 53% completion rating, he'd be benched. Once Cam's wheel's come off, and they will, he's toast.

He's been very effective this year, because he opens up things for the run game, because defenses always have to account for an extra runner.

He's got a defense that is tied for the lead in INTs,(13), recovered 5 fumbles, and are 4th in sacks with 25.

A good, opportunistic defense and STs has Cam's average starting field position out on the 31 yard line,

Cam is a good player right now, in a good situation. He's had 2 winning seasons, and got in the playoffs by attrition last year.

All this MVP talk is premature.

Cam's numbers reflect his weapons not being as good as other teams' too. There aren't many starting QB's completing 53% of their passes, and it's not just on his receivers for that number being the way it is. The Panthers have built there team the way it is and Cam fits it, especially with his running ability.
