UGABOZ
blame him all you want about his pass rushing capabilities but he is too light in the *** to play a 4-3 dend, terrible pick by you know who. A coaching blunder that we have him at dend, start working him at outside backer, figure it out Quinn

UGABOZ
I've been saying that for weeks, again....sorry for the repeat thread just trying to get a point across since so many want to pile on a rookie yet let vets get passes

JDaveG
You realize our weak side DE is not supposed to be prototypical for a 4-3, right? He's where he is because that's where the coaches want him. And he's doing better than most people give him credit for.
YoungHeezy
He's not a prototype 4/3 DE in this scheme because he doesn't have to be.
Guest facelessman07
Well the "LEO" is supposed to be a hybrid

raysnill1
I just want to see us rush 5 consistently. we already have an undersized line, at least don't have 1 guy exerting all his energy fighting against 2 300 pound guys. put a hat on a hat, we're bound to win a one on one every now and then. with Collins playing a lot better we need to take advantage of the good coverage for once
Shelley#37
I think we should move him to nickel after that sweet pick!!!
DMT11
Guys I promise u will see him in more of the LEO role when we get better linebacker play , **** be more of a hybrid then, but we need some better play from safeties and LB, mainly MLB> a faster one. droopy1592
People say he's light but ain't Schofield the exact same weight? Playing end?
FentayeJones
Size is not the biggest thing when it comes to playing LEO. He has to be more athletic than big because since he’s lined up wide he has to have the athleticism to operate in space. Beasley is actually the prototypical LEO. vel
I disagree. The man is a rookie. He's worn out with little rest from college to combine to training camp to the pros. Every rookie talks about that Freeman was just talking about that. He'll get to about 250 next year and be fine.
Halsey.
Beasley was in college 5 years and is 23.. Not sure he's going to get much bigger.
JDaveG
Beasley was in college 5 years and is 23.. Not sure he's going to get much bigger. A 23 year old can easily put on 10-15 pounds of muscle.

We NEED LBs who can cover better. We have a guy who can do it. Then if we need more pressure, blitz him.
JC Falcon
Remember that pinned thread about rookie sack totals?Yeah - Beasley isn't getting 8-10 sacks as a rookie.
Byrdman242424
People. Beasley is our version of Seattle's Bruce Irvin. They have almost the exact same measurables. Beasley is 6'2/236 lbs and Irvin (right now) is 6'3/245 lbs. He'll be fine. Everyone spoke about Hageman too, until he came into camp with a different body type after his rookie year. E. T.
A few weeks at the Chuck Smith school of hard knocks will do him some good.
Captain Insano
He plays weak...that's the bottom line..just rewatched the 49ers game and the guy gets pushed around with one arm by the tackle..have to go in harder than that...saw it at least three times...and quit spinning!!!!!! It's not working!!..he looks like when I used to play Joe Montana's Football on Sega back in the day spinning all the way downfield!
Rohn
Beasley should be a linebacker in NFL. Too light.
falconsd56
A 23 year old can easily put on 10-15 pounds of muscle.Yup, He has the frame to do it. I would like to see him moved around more, but he IS a rookie and it is best not to overload him.He did have a nice interception though...so he has that going for him. Bawse
He's gotta bulk up more first. If not, he needs to transition to OLB.
