gazoo
Beasley has twice as many career sacks as Clowney, yet Clowney has been in the NFL two seasons to Beasleys one.Beasley also Has more career interceptions.Keep in mind, JJ Watts plays on other side of Clowney and Tyson Jackson plays other side of Beasley.Just curious if you think Clowney is a bust too, as I know many of the Beasley haters absolutely adore Clowney. marvinthemartian
Clowney seems to be headed toward bust status. I think Beasely will be fine. If Beasely had JJ Watt and Vince Woolfork on the line with him he would be even better.
gazoo
Oh gazoo, you have no clue.Imagine this, swiftkick joins us immediately after a painful loss. I'm sure just here to calm the waters.Im glad he finally did something! But where is the pressures? Is Clowney a bust?
WOR
Beasley needs to be a LB. Theres really no other way. Its foolish to waste his talents fitting a square peg in a round hole.

Guest facelessman07
Huh, this reminds me of a thread where Beasley was trumpeted as better than John Abraham
Lord Sarcomere
Beasley hasn't done ish for us this season. This pass rush would have been the exact same had we not drafted him.He does not look good.

LookAboutFalcon
Clowney is a bust (and so happy we never traded for him like 90% of this board wanted) and I never believed in Beasley but I'm not ready to call him a bust, way to early to call on Beasley. Ovie_Lover
For the record I don't think he is a bust yet.I also think he needs to either get his weight up or move to LB but to answer your question just because someone else is a bust it doesn't make our bust any better. gazoo
Seems posters don't want to answer the simple question. IS CLOWNEY A BUST????????Btw.....my policy is always to give players into their 3rd seasons before applying the term "bust" to them. Far ok many players break out in their 3rd seasons bigtime so I wait. That said, if you claim Beasley is a bust you must also claim Clowney is. DirtyBirdNorth
Beasley needs to bulk up, he is too light and raw at DE.

Hes actually played well this year and has alot of pressures just hasnt been able to get that sack. Keep in mind hes a year removed from microfracture knee surgery. He wont be back to his normal self till next year. Now when it comes to Beasley obv he isnt a bust. I like alot of you was praying that he somehow fell to us. However his play is a bit concerning. I know rookie DEs usually take a year to develop but Beasley has been super quiet these last 4 weeks. It seems like tackles have caught onto him. If he cant run past you theres not much else he can do. This upcoming offseason is going to be huge for him. He needs to refine his technique and get stronger. momak
While it is frustrating to see him struggle to get pressure consistently its common knowledge that pass rusher take the next step in year 2Lets wait until the end of the his second year to see what we have in Vic

Many, many very good pass rushers started their rookie seasons looking no better than Beasley. Technique is almost always the culprit. By 2017 he will have time to improve his technique, he will get NFL experience and an entire off-season were he wont be learning rookie stuff and getting up to speed but will hit the ground running. Not to mention we will most likely be upgrading the right DE position to help take the pressure of him.At the moment i am more concerned about the other pass rushers on this team they have not done much.
