Rave
Greg Hardy issues apologetic tweets in wake of Deadspin reportConnor Tapp - 38 minutes ago(Photo: Matthew Emmons, USA TODAY Sports)In light of Deadspin's Friday report that detailed graphic photos of his 2014 domestic assault incident, Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy issued a pair of tweets on Saturday night in which he expressed regret for the events that led to him being charged with the assault of Nicole Holder. The comments are still shy of what could be considered an apology, but they're the first sign of contrition Hardy has shown publicly about the incident. The way that Hardy and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones have handled this situation came under renewed scrutiny last week when Deadspin published photos of the injuries Hardy inflicted on Holder. The current Dallas Cowboys pass rusher allegedly beat and pushed his ex-girlfriend, Nicole Holder, on a bed of guns. The incident, which occurred in May of 2014, resulted in Hardy being found guilty by a judge last summer, with the accuser, Holder, being present. The final time around in court, Holder was nowhere to be found by the prosecutors. The prosecution cited "reliable info" that a settlement between Hardy and Holder gave her reason not to cooperate. The Panthers paid Hardy $13,120,900 for one game in 2014, making him inactive in Week 2 and putting him on the NFL's commissioner exempt list for the rest of the season.Hardy signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys in March. The following month, Hardy was suspended 10 games without pay by the NFL for conduct detrimental to the league stemming from his incident. He appealed his suspension and had it reduced to four games in July. After much thought over further fighting his suspension, Hardy sat out the four games and made his return in Week 5. Trouble
Wow, seems i had a lucky guess. She was paid off to not do anything. Not showing up is the easiest way to get a mistrial and get it thrown out (even if he has been proven guilty).Screw his apology, he is only sorry he got caught and the pics came out. Thats what he is sorry for, not his actions. Jerry made him say sorry.
Trouble
This is the stuff that makes it so hard to have faith in the system to get justice. The system has 1 clear flaw and thats being paid off.
Rave
I actually dont know how to feel about this. I am appalled by the pictures, and I do not in any way condone his actions, but I love the player that Hardy is.Everyone deserves a second chance, but Im not sure I want Hardy on the Cowboys next year. However, if he shows change between now and then my mind may change. Or you ignore it. Jones seems fine to hide the truth as long as he performs. But he is a thug and everyone knows it. Have to credit the Panthers on not resigning him. But Jones knew what he was getting.

In West Memphis, Arkansas 3 teenagers were found guilty of murders they did not commit. After many appeals and serving 18 years in jail they were released and are finally free.According your logic, since they were found guilty in a court of law they should have never been able to seek an appeal.Just because you were found guilty does not mean you should be waived of your RIGHT to an appeal. And anyone else who isn't a homer cowboy fan knows this guy is just pathetic. Have you heard they released randle because he had an odd the field issue with pointing a fun at his wife. Yet randle was found not guilty.......... And cowboy fans but into this crap. Yet they jump for joy with having Hardy and defend the scum bag. If there was a video of this. Des-pool
I guarantee you that if Hardy ends up sucking for the rest of the year Jerry will at some point cut him loose and then drag him through the mud, saying the Cowboys won't tolerate his behavior or some crap like that. This has NOTHING to do with my being a fan of a team, but obviously a better understanding of our Judicial system than you.Your logic is that if someone is found guilty they should never receive an appeal. If that were how it was then there would be a lot of innocent people in jail with no way to overturn the verdict........but the appeals process isn't needed.....we should just get rid of it, because of your shortsighted views. Take Hardys name out of it. You have someone found guilty. He has the right to appeal it. Thats just his right. Its not a matter if we agree with it. Some countries cut off hands if your caught stealing. Its not upto us to decide unless we make the laws.Hardy in this case settled and the accuser failed to appear. Thats grounds for automatic thrown out of court. If you get a speeding ticket and the cop doesnt appear in court, you walk free.I actually had a cop put me in court on a sat. one time. Nothing he could do about it. Court is closed on Sat, so the ticket was dropped and i was free with no record. Was i speeding and did i deserve a ticket? **** right. But i didn't create the system. Trouble
Rave is right. Even if the case was 100% against you and you where found guilt and it was rock solid tight. The accused still has the right to appeal. He has the right to appeal even before the case starts.Just because his record got expunged doesn't make him any less a *****. We all know he did it. I have always been a fan of Charles Johnson (who played for Georgia). Yet, I was supposed to judge this man based on what others were saying about him with no proof other than someone else's opinion. Since I would not dive into an opinion other than "there is no proof he did anything". I am a homer that was backing Hardy because he plays for Dallas. Some fans are completely childish. In a sophisticated society one would be expected to be impartial until proof of guilt is provided. Hear say is not proof.

Trouble
Falcons fans knew he was a thug. Since the gun thing. The easiest way to figure out hardy was to see Panthers let their franchise tagged player walk and make no effort to keep him. When that happens, there is trouble in paradise. But that was a key something was wrong. Jones doesnt fix the prob, he tries to mask it. Winning doesn't erase everything. But you can bet the victim got a nice payday out of this. Sadly thats more important than justice these days. Justice doesnt pay the bills like a payoff does.No one knew as much about him than the Panthers did. Left unchecked we could have a guy who qualifies to play for the Saints.

You place having a pass rush over what he may do next.Everyone knows Hardy isnt done being a a hole. Even you know it. Its just will he get caught?Football especially in Dallas only makes the kraken stronger and more wild.I would rather have no pass rush and keep worthless bearman than have Hardy. He wont be a Falcon the next time he does something stupid. The Panthers could have resigned him but chose to write him off and wash their hands. You cant have a monster like that on the team and think things get better. He is the kinda guy that brings others down with him.Unless the person reaching out to him is a psychologist. I doubt it will matter. Beating up women isnt something you learn over night and is probably not something you change over night. Bad thing is will we find out the next time? I am literally one more unnecessary roughness penalty from saying GTFO my team. His anger issues have got to be taken care of or he can go somewhere else. Also, on the football side. Dallas' Dline has 9 sacks, 4 by Hardy, in 8 games. Even with Hardy Dallas has little to no pass rush. So, that has nothing to do with how I feel on the matter. Trouble
If hardy don't know how to act in front of cameras he doesn't know how to act when there is not any. Its a shame, he is a talented player. But being good at football 🏈 doesn't give him a free pass on life. I'm no saint. But he comes off like a prick. Reminds me of Chris Brown in a way. But i didn't create the system. he had a court case and he was found guilty and then said "oh well you know i didn't like the outcome.. let's start over and do it again as if the first trial never happened" so i am going to appeal for a jury trial.. there is no reasoning whatsoever for that to happen.. either give him a jury or a judge, but he shouldn't have the right to say he doesn't like being found guilty so now let's do a 2nd trial and pretend the first never happened. that is what happened. so the victim has to now do it all over again after seeing her accuser be found guilty once already. the law is ridiculous.. have one court case or the other, but don't do that to the victim. he should be able to appeal if he can prove that he was not given a fair trial. however his time in jail was at worst 60 days and probation. so he would still be playing football because he can sack the quarterback. Yep... its crazy. Not only is it crazy but he could make up to franchise tag player money (11 mill) with the cowboys (he wont though because he missed those games). But because the system is so screwed up, we have 1 player who never touched that girls a clean record all because he can sack the QB.The poor go to jail and do not pass go. Trouble
Remember ignorance of the law is no excuse? Unless your a NFL player, then just being ignorant is enough. Im tired of seeing players get away with crap. Look at sharpers case or browns. Sharper is a serial rapist gets know where near the time he deserved and in Browns case he killed someone. But As bad as browns situation was. Atleast he didn't mean to do it. Being a serial rapist was thought and planned out.Vick had it rougher for fighting dogs. But that was vs the feds and PETA. You dont win vs the feds. They made a example out of Vick. But now it seems silly when we look at what these players are doing.

That poor, poor victim, took all that money....This is what I find funny. You are making her sound like a damsel in distress, when she took the money and ran. She never sat through another trial. She got paid, and went on a very expensive vacation (according to her Facebook). So, to use this case as a place to get up on your soapbox makes no sense. The victim you describe does not exist as she never went back to court.I am not defending Hardy, but for you to victimize the victim even more so then she already was is quite pathetic. You are playing "Captain Save A Ho" when in reality she sounds like a strong woman than you give her credit for.
