You Guys Are Hilariously Over-Dramatic. I'm Excited About This Team.

Look at the way we move the ball. Look at how effortlessly we convert third downs these days. Look at how well our defense has looked this year compared to last. All the young talent we have on the defensive line. Beasley, Hageman, Jarrett. Look at how awesome our running game is. We have holes, but even last year at the end of the year I was telling people that we'd need two good offseasons with solid FA signings and hitting more draft picks than we miss to fix that team. We're halfway there.

We have two issues, one much more problematic than the other. Penalties are the lesser of the two. Seattle has been one of the most penalized teams int he NFL the last few years - it's just a symptom of our new aggressive mindset. Don't worry about that. We're gonna get some bad calls against us, it's just going to happen. The bigger problem is the turnovers, and you know what's really crazy? This is a brand new offense. We still have Matt, Julio, Roddy, Matthews and Schraeder, but other than that everything about this offense is new. New starting RB, new scheme, COMPLETELY new interior, all new WRs after Julio and Roddy, all new TEs. Our entire offense just had major surgery and you guys are angry that they aren't performing physically rigorous activities yet.

Give them time. Everybody always says that when an offensive line is newly shuffled that they need time to gel. We've been fortunate in that our OL already has gelled. We just need the rest of the offense to do the same thing. When our timing is on, when we're all synced up, we can't be stopped. And even if we do need this entire season to get into some kind of rhythm and stop turning the ball over, we'll come back next season with an even more talented team and be even more dangerous.

I'm not worried about the Falcons this year. My expectations were low going into the year; 7-9, 8-8 at best. Right now though? I honestly don't think we finish worse than 10-6.

I'm excited long-term about the Falcons...

They are drafting well. They have a good young HC and a good coaching staff.

In the short term I'm going to reserve judgment until I see if they will clean up their play or not.

I hear you Kayoh and I concur. I'm pissed about all of the turn overs but I am enjoying this season more than I have in a long time. One of the best parts for me is all of the young players we have developing both on offense and defense.

Think about this. This time last year we were 2-6 and on a 5 game losing streak. We have come a long way.

I'm long-term excited but short-term frustrated

After the 4th turnover yesterday I tried to destroy a bottle of water at Supes' house. I didn't want to break anything in his house so I took my Dasani outside to the deck around his house and spiked it several times.

Supes was still laughing about it today.

It helped though. laugh.png

This is the thing about coaches like Quinn and Jim Harbaugh. The systems they run are HIGH energy, HIGH effort systems. It can WEAR on players. There is a limited window of opportunity with that. ( see San Francisco booting Harbaugh out of there). I say that to say that Quinn has to fix this FAST. Its not gonna be a 3 year plan. Its next year or bust. Quinn is a COACH, just like Harbaugh, and i mean that to say that they are hands on coaches, not just a figure head. 49er players couldnt wait for Harbaugh to leave.

Quinn has to get it done, before the same thing happens in Atlanta. He HAS to show them success, so that they continue to buy in to the high energy, high effort schemes that he runs on defense. He IS the right coach for what Atlanta needed, but he has to get it done fast.

Both are indeed "High energy" but the comparison ends there.

Harbaugh is a complete nut case that multiple times a game loses his cool and invariably makes a fool of himself several ties during a season. THIS is the type of person and personality that wears on people and, you're right, people's tolerance level of such has a very short life span.

Now, name me one time Quinn has lost his cool this season? Even longer, reference me a link or quote where he has ever done this?

High energy doesn't have to equate to utter, unabashed extreme foolishness or irrationality as in the case of Harbaugh.

I agree this isnt the same falcons from any era. This is new Falcons football. It's catching a lot by surprise because we are heading in a new direction and its coming together too fast, and they are nickpicking.

We are beloved Falcons fans complaining. WHY? IDK.

Everyone wanted a new coach with more power and a real teacher of the game. Check

Everyone wanted better scouting and better drafting. Check

Everyone wanted a better defense and more running. Check

Everyone wanted a top five offense and at least a top twenty defense. Check plus its happening in year one.

And the cherry on top New Mercedes-Benz Stadium and MLS Soccer Team coming in 2017.

All the downers drink a beer relax or do whatever you do to relax and to for all my riders.

RISE THE **** UP

You don't think division games matter?

Look at what the Saints have been able to accomplish right after our win! You think a win over us has nothing to do with that at all?

They're comfortable at 3rd place in NFCS and by the way they're playing after beating us, I'm uncomfortable with that.

They're back in the picture because we never miss the opportunity to uplift their spirits and revive those clowns, especially when we had a chance to crush their fu(k*!ng season.

I looks at it this way.

We had a great edge against the league with the New Coaches, and etc etc, but what became

very clear was the Redskins knew somethings and handed us our own percentages, and

while they could not finish us off, the rest of the league was taking notes.

So yeah its a shame that we got blue printed so early, but regardless

of al the rah rah booshit,, this team still lacks the cold blooded killers mentality.

In the end the Bucs game was like watching a couple of school yard sissies

in a slap fight.

Nao tudo bom ,,!,
