dizzydegenerate
Half way through the 2015 season and I can already foreshadow into the future. Falcons make the playoffs and like Payton Manning, they will be a one and done team. Correct me if I'm wrong but besides Carolina, does our schedule have any teams that made the playoffs last year? With that being said, our strength of schedule is an absolute joke and even then, we are struggling with teams like Tennessee, Tampa, Washington and Dallas. All these teams are bottom of the barrel and if it weren't for our schedule we wouldn't be any better. We are the most overrated 6-2 team and once we actually play a competitive playoff type team we will get exposed of what we truly are. I love the Falcons but this team is junk. Its no different than our teams from the past. Defence is wretched and the offence is average. Its so disappointing watching this product year after year. Its going to be 2011 all over again in January when we lost to the Giants 24-2. Easy schedule that year until we got to Wild Card weekend and reality was waiting for us. A Pimp Named Slickback™
While there is no excuse for our struggles as a team, the SoS myth has been debunked.
PokerSteve
Actually I prefer a mid-season reality check and crash to earth than seeing my hopes and expectations explode in the first round of the play-offs. Despite our record, I don't think this team is going to make the play-offs. If it does I will have zero expectations thanks to what I'm seeing now in regular season. *Old Pappy Falcon*
To me in this age of football, I will never believe a "easy schedule" exist. Back about 15 yrs ago...yes. Not anymore.
Guest
To me in this age of football, I will never believe a "easy schedule" exist. Back about 15 yrs ago...yes. Not anymore.Agreed looking across the NFL landscape only 1 team I believe is even remotely bad, and that might not even be true think the Bears cause the Lions aren't as bad as the 1-7 record I see actually.....................SF 49ers they are terrible. In fact they should have #1 overall by the time we get into playoffs.

Guest Gritz
There are no homecoming games in the NFL.However, you do become the visiting homecoming team every week you gift wrap the ball for the other team multiple times.
FentayeJones
This is the NFL not the NCAA. Any team can catch you slippin on any given week if you commit 4 turn-overs without any take-aways.
HEIST
This is the NFL not the NCAA. Any team can catch you slippin on any given week if you commit 4 turn-overs without any take-aways.Worst thing was in OT when Therezie dropped an INT on like the second play of the period. Also had a roughing the passer penalty on that play. Woulda been 3rd and 10 with the momentum screaming in our favor :/.
SkerFalcon8710
Last time I checked very few people thought we had enough talent to get to 9-7 now all of a sudden were 6-2 and pulled out some wins that could have gone either way and everyone thinks were the patriots or think we would be had we drafted gurley and Gregory.. blah blah blah. Allim saying is this team is out performing 95% of expectations pre season and people can't handle when we lose a ******* game when everyone thought we had a 9-7 roster at best
Windy City Falcon
We have been lucky as well. We played the Cowboys without their 3 best players. Panthers won't be as lucky
TheFatboi
We have been lucky as well. We played the Cowboys without their 3 best players. Panthers won't be as luckyEverybody loses players. We lost 2 of our best players yesterday. That's not luck. That's called football. It happens. GB lost most of their good players in 2010. Including Rodgers for a game and went on to win the SB. Still finished the season 10-6. It wasn't luck for the teams they faced. It's just football. It's a violent sport and ppl get hurt. We lost Julio for a season. Wasn't luck for other teams. It was just football.

Cowboys would smash us if we played in a couple more weeksThat's not luck and that's not a fact that they would smash us either. The only way to answer a claim of shoulda, woulda, coulda is to actually play that game. Speculation doesn't count. They barely beat the Giants WITH romo and Dez. It's any given Sunday. I bet you thought the great Rodgers would have more than just 77 passing years yesterday? You can't say what will happen. Can't speculate. And shoulda woulda coulda never amounts to anything. Only thing left is a ????? That's all. You nor I know how that game woulda turned out with Romo and Dez because they didn't play. For the record I don't believe in luck. I think you make your own luck. I have a career in music and it was in no way shape or form that it was luck. So that word just doesn't hold weight with me. Falcons fans are supposed to be okay with seeing a month's worth of fundamentally sloppy football?I think most of the disappointed reactions have a ton of merit. We couldn't beat the awful Buccs, Cowboys would have creamed us with a QB that could complete a pass to a receiver

1989Fan
This team won 10 games the past two seasons combined. Why do we seem to forget this? We act like this is 2013 and we just came off a near sb appearance. At 5-2 this team is out-performing (realistic) expectations. Now if we finish 6-10 or something, we should be more concerned.
