Quarterback
...and he is, in my opinion, the most gifted QB I have ever seen take a snap.Let that sink in for a moment--77 total passing yards by one of if not the best QB to ever play the game--when we are complaining about Matt Ryan's 397 yards, two TD's, one INT, and 80% completion rate yesterday.Red Zone Turnovers and really stupid, unnecessary penalties are what's killing us (and yes, Ryan share some responsibility here) and that's on the coaching staff! Broncos' defense is incredible. Ryan would have fell to that defense as well.

Was he playing the bucs? Aaron Rodgers struggled but he looked like an NFL quarterback who was in charge of his team.

How in charge can you look with 77 yards passing including skipping passes and throwing over receivers heads? All of which we've seen Matt do as well. Y'all need to chill with the victim mentality. No one is saying Rodgers is a bum.

Windy City Falcon
Rodgers has a good season going. Ryan is +1 in touchdowns to turnovers. That's bad bad bad

Aaron Rodgers struggled but he looked like an NFL quarterback who was in charge of his team. So Matt Ryan wasn't in charge of his team when, despite a horrid number of mistakes all around, he put up 17 4th quarter points to give his team a shot in overtime? If you personally hate Matt Ryan because of some personal agenda so be it, but please excersize some emotional restraint in making a point. That's bad bad badRyan has not been shut down like this--77 yards--once in his 8 year career and along the way he has faced some great defenses in that span. If Ryans one bragging right is never throwing 77 yards then ok, what does that prove?
rcky_mtn_falcon
the real question is...would you trade rodgers and his center for brees and his center? No, and anyone that would trade Ryan and his center for Brees and his center is a moron as well.If you want to trade centers sure, I'm all for it, but let's remember our center has never started and has been used almost exclusively at guard throughout his so far career. We need to find a permanent center, and preferably one that can stay healthy and make the line calls, but Matt will be fine. MikeSmithsNotepad
Imagine if matt had that statline. Omg he would be crucified. They both lost. One is having a mediocre season and the other has 15 tds and 2 Ints. Rodgers is a future first ballot hall of fame QB with a ring. He gets a pass. Ryan is a good regular season QB. Hope he proves me wrong. Big Difference. Edited November 2, 2015 by MikeSmithsNotepad

Quarterback
Guys, my only point here is the best QB in the game just had one of the all-tiime lowest passing yards in the modern era. While Ryan hasn't been at his best this season this team he is quarterbacking could be 8-0 had it not been for some horrible turnovers and boneheaded penalties against the Saints and Bucs. But is isn't as if Ryan threw for 77 yards in a one-sided loss.
*Old Pappy Falcon*
Vastly different defenses. Broncos' defense is incredible. rightsaidfred
Packers were expected to give DEN all they could handle - but they fell short. After firing their coach, MIA had a resurgence and it looked like they might stand up to the Pats. That didn't happen either.Take it for what it's worth. Doesn't excuse the Falcons' sloppiness, but goes to show that stuff happens (or doesn't happen sometimes)I choose to remain optimistic for our team. Not blindly refusing to see the weaknesses, but optimistic that things will get better. But, then..........
