Falcons_own_nfc_south
Score was 6-3 and 44 seconds left on the clock. 3rd and 14 and Bucs were around 40 yards line. Why call a TO?

mashburn*Fibonacci
Naw he was hoping we could stop them. And that we could make a deep pass. And kick a field goal. Edited November 2, 2015 by mashburn*Fibonacci

momak
Because he had confidence we could stop Tampa on the 3rd down play and get the ball at the end of the half to try and score before the half like we did in the Dallas game.

Basic common sense you're lacking right now.
JayOzOne
I wouldn't have called the timeout. It stopped the clock and let Crab Legs stand under zero rush to find a player downfield. I've been okay with the "move them off the block if you don't sack them" philosophy for as long as it worked but it cut us deep today. Chubbsy stood up for as long as he wanted to with no threat of being sacked.
Tuggle'2
What does it matter? I mean that seriously and not really at all sarcastically. It is before the half so its not like we can carry them over. I like the attitude of saving clock to continue trying to score myself. More I think about it, the more I really like the move. More I think about it, the more I really like the move.I thought everything mattered in this game. Looks like we shouldn't count all the turnover either. All I was trying to say that. It wasn't only Julio, center, Ryan who made mistakes. Our HC isn't far behind. If we didn't do anything with :30 seconds then what would we have done with :40 seconds. But I didn't like that call because bucs weren't trying to save the time.

I assumed they were screaming because we took the knee with 0:17 on the clock instead of trying to score.
Windy City Falcon
I'm starting to think Quinn knows this season is just gonna be growing pains and he's not going to try to go all out to win every game.
delaigle
Didn't the TV announcers say the Falcons had 12 men on the field???
FentayeJones
Didn't the TV announcers say the Falcons had 12 men on the field???I think you are right. I believe he had to call that timeout because Stupar did not get off the field in time and would have resulted in a 12 men on the field penalty. That was actually a heads up play by Quinn. I believe this is a lost art of football. I don't know how many times last yr I wanted smith to do this just to think about the next logical move...never happened. I'm happy that Quinn did this on soo many levels for us.
blizzard_falcon
As others have said, we had twelve men on the field. There was confusion that entire half on the defensive side as to which packages we needed to run, and on that play, Stupar didn't have enough time to get to the sideline.
