Guest facelessman07
Halfway through the season I'm a bit underwhelmed with where Beasley is. I understand he's a rookie and has plenty of time to grow, but I expected more from him. And I'm not just talkin' 'bout sacks...He's my next jersey so make me proud Vic...and I'll try to resist the urge to call you Vicky lol
Sponge
What in the living fark does that BS nonsense have to do with anything? We playing stupid stat?First number is their rookie year, second number is 2014.1) Justin Houston 5.5/22.02) JJ Watt 5.5/20.53) Elvis Dumervil 8.5/17.04) Mario Williams 4.5/14.55) Connor Barwin 4.5/14.56) Von Miller 11.5/14.07) Ryan Kerrigan 7.5/13.58) Jason Pierre Paul 4.5/12.59) Terrell Suggs 12.0/12.010) Everson Griffen 0.0/12.0Learn to NFLI agree. I just think he's playing the wrong position. I think he's faster than most on that list too.
FalconFanSince1970
It must really suck to not have a TV to enable you to actually watch Beasley play.Beasley has an excellent explosive first step.Clowney was drafted last year and Beasley this year, yet Beasley has twice as many career sacks as Clowney.Search your feelings bro. We should have taken Gurley. You know it to be true.

Oldskooler
See now this I can get behind. I actually agree with this. I definitely get the feeling that maybe he isn't going all out all the time.I suspect it's because he has no secondary move after the spin.*Spin move!*Didn't work!*Now I'll try--- uhhmmmm---??? D1RTY
He can actually get the QB to the groundMeanwhile Beasley is taking dancing lessonsBud Dupree > BeasleyThen go be a steelers fan
Windy City Falcon
I suspect it's because he has no secondary move after the spin.*Spin move!*Didn't work!*Now I'll try--- uhhmmmm---???He is also great at completely running by the QB and being pushed completely out of the play

I can't see paying full authentic retail price for him yet.
Oldskooler
He can actually get the QB to the groundMeanwhile Beasley is taking dancing lessonsBud Dupree > BeasleyWhile I agree, comparing rookie season stats has nothing to do with it. Dupree is better because of his explosive power, his speed, and the fact that he has 270 pounds to help him hold the line or overpower an opponent. If Beasley gets his weight in the 255 pound range, and learns a few more pass rush moves, he will be all right.
DonDaLuvMaker
It would be interesting to see Beasley get some snaps at rushing from the SLB position at times. I would also like to see Scho play some LEO as well. Beasley will eventually figure it out. He needs to perfect more pass rushing moves. Oldskooler
He is also great at completely running by the QB and being pushed completely out of the playThat is because he doesn't have the mass/strength to avoid being pushed past and behind the QB. Canadian Jangus
Dude, the guy is a rookie. Be glad he has gotten any sacks / stats this year. "Da Gawd" Jadeveon Clowney still hasn't done jack ****. Beasley needs an offseason of NFL bulking up (read: steroids) to get into playing shape, just like Freeney, Irvin, etc..Not enough steroids being used on the Falcons, period. Medical Staff 'Troffed. Guest facelessman07
Why would I be a steelers fan? Just because I wanted Dupree instead of Vic Beasley?Seems to be the common school of thought around here when you say "we should've taken x with our pick." GoFalcons22
I don't understand threads like this. Was the expectation when we drafted Vic that he was already as good as Abraham? Why isn't everyone complaining about Clayborn too? Wasn't Quinn supposed to make him better too? Its a 4 man pass rushing scheme with a group of run defenders on the line. None of these guys are/were pass rush specialists. We didn't manage to get Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril in free agency. Stop expecting Vic to put up 15 sacks this season. Hes a rookie.
