coastiemike
He no longer changes the plays up. He locks onto players. Show me a clip or point me to a video where he changed the play. Or where he looked at what was coming at him and told everyone else who was rushing in.Shanahan doesn't want him to call audibles. How hard is that to figure out? Pacific_Falcon
Nope.37/45, 82% completion rate, 397 Yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT. That 109 passer rating REALLY sucks. I mean ALOT!Nope, he just can't throw the ball at all in this offense.Threads like this is why the homers have an undending arsenal of ammunition. Dumbazz OP should pick a different sport to watch. FulC0
82% completion rating397 yards109.2 passer rating2 touchdownsThis is about as good as an NFL QB can be -- and better than ANYONE this franchise has ever seen.
FulC0
To put today's passing performance in perspective, there have been only 3 qb's in Falcons history to throw for 400+ yards:Steve Barrlowski - 1 timeChris Chandlsr - 1 timeMatt Ryan - 3 times397 yards is an incredible performance. That it could have been even better should not be used as an argument that MR "does not fit the scheme." Fans today are in Madden mode not reality.... TeamPlayer1
Think about a bright QB in shotgun and you don't know if the snap will be left, right, high, low or skipping along the ground. This is the time he should be reading the coverage and pass rush pre snap. He should be able to depend upon the snap being precise in his chest every time. So far, not happening. coastiemike
well that is what made matt so goodDon't tell me. I know that. Got tell our OC because apparently he doesn't know or just doesn't care.
Windy City Falcon
In the year 2015 Ryan might be a top 15 Qb now. I know people don't want to hear it and focus on the good things he does and ignore that we require comebacks because of his turnovers but he's been surpassed by a few more quarterbacks this season
Guest Mr Plow
hey bird brains. By chance you see the two fumbles by him. Then another by a bad snap (not his fault. But it was low, but used to be he didn't have a problem.). And then he had an interception. 3-4 turnovers his fault. And in the red zone.Nope, I didn't see that son. Let me tell you what I did see, you know, the FACTUAL stuff that is without dispute .... 37/45 for 397 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. But hey, don't let me rain on your rain. By all means, tell us how much it was Matt's fault.

Marino threw for 5000 yards once and then 3 QB's did it a couple of seasons ago. Yards are inflated now
mashburn*Fibonacci
Don't tell me. I know that. Got tell our OC because apparently he doesn't know or just doesn't care. I just don't get it. Matt used to pick apart teams. And very very very rarely throw in triple coverage. But now he throws in triple coverage a ton. And that is when some of his picks are coming from. And he leaves players wide open (like white)
Oldskooler
Matt is perfectly suited to run the WCO. The OP would have to learn a great deal just to qualify as knowing nothing.

He simply doesn't have time in his progression to get to the third choice. And with half a second taken off the 2-3 he has for bad snaps, it is an uphill battle. Or no huddle. Shanahan and Ryan are a bad mix. Not a lack of talent but a lack of compatibility
JayOzOne
Opinions are like ***holes. Everybody has one and those belonging to others usually stink. Let he who has eyes to read, understand.Anyway, I'm going to be shocked if the Matt Ryan we saw after he went off on the sidelines is not the one we get for the rest of the season. The fourth quarter was the only time this year that I saw him settle into a confident throwing motion. He looked really good, to me. With that said, he needs to have the freedom to switch plays and go no huddle. Otherwise, we're not utilizing his strengths.
