Falc_Fan_Since_Six
...and it was a sloppy game and a tough loss but we are still 6-2. The other good thing is that Ryan finally looked in rhythm during the second half. The turnovers were just too much to overcome. Our wounds were self inflicted and we still gave ourselves a chance in the end. Tampa scored all but three of their points off turnovers. Hated to lose that one but I still have faith in Quinn and this team turning those mistakes around. Too bad so many here don't. Been a Falcons fan 47 years and I don't recall the fan base ever being so negative even in the darkest of times when the only highlights all year were beating the aints and watching the bagheads cry. roguebeaver
Got you beat my friend...been a Fakcon supporter for 50 years and have only seen this team on a handful of occasions represent this city professionally... The fans, regardless of how long they have followed this team can vent just as appropriately when chitty play is displayed as those that rant and rave when things are rosy... Ebb and flow partner, we all have opinions and feelings, and they all don't have to rah, rah, rah, shis boom bah!! I have buddies who don't even visit this board. Coach Quinn is not committing these mistakes it's definitely the players not executing but I have faith that these things are going to work out for the SF game and then furthermore during the Bye. Now that there's some tape on our offensive and defensive schemes, teams are able to play us better. The lack of talent on this team is becoming pretty obvious. I suggest you run to the store, grab a skirt and pom poms and cheerlead instead of talking on a message board. We might be the worst 6-2 team in the past 10-15 years. We're insanely lucky to have our record. If the coaching staff hasn't gotten a handle on the turnovers and penalties by now, I doubt they do. Out of 8 games we've played in one where we looked good for more than a half. That is a problem. We lack consistency and disipline.Fans point out flaws. Fans get mad when their team insists on committing suicide week after week. Cheerleaders smile and pretend like the team is winning despite getting it's *** kicked. The Georgia game was a good example. At some point, the score was in the background and the GA cheerleader was smiling and dancing like we were winning by 50, not losing by 20. That's what you sound like. You can pretend all you like, but I'll keep saying the team needs to get their heads out of their collective *****. Granted we stole our own games ealier in the season so maybe it evens out but these two loses were absolute give aways nothing but.
11=team
...I understand and agree with you but the sky was indeed crashing down when Mike Smith uttered those words, we just didn't know it at the time. Tough uncharacteristic loss in our house- how they respond next week will indicate if we should seek cover.

Go away..... Anyone else here who wants to argue about some fans keeping an even keel and not over reacting one way or the other? I didn't over react to the 5-0 start and I'm not going to over react to losing a couple of games due to correctable mistakes. As bad as it got, we still fought back and very nearly came all the way back. It was nice to see Matt finally get his rhythm and timing back in the second half. chessop2014
The season is still half way. These are correctable mistakes. Just hate that this season is the reverse of last season that we loose to division rivals. If we keep TO to 2 or less we can etch out a W in San Fran before the bye and work out the basic simple execution between centers, Ryan and Freeman on snap exchanges. Clark Kent™
What is the better way to accurately judge a team, by their first 4 games, or by the 4 most recent games they played? The fact that we are 6-2 doesn't mean crap to me if we are currently playing like crap. All that means is that we still control our own destiny, but it doesn't make me any less concerned about our weaknesses.

Lot of difference in being "concerned" and totally writing off a 6-2 football team. I'm concerned myself but I'm not willing to just throw in the towel as it seems so many here are. My team looks like a slow motion train wreck on the field every week, we make the worst teams in the league look like SB contenders and you dirty, stinking no-good fans want to act like that's not okay. What's wrong with y'all? Wahhhhhhhhhhh! Y'all suck. Y'all ain't real true-blue, loyal fans like I am! WAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Falconcheff
Matt Ryan IS playing like shyte. The good news is, Matt Ryan CAN and DOES play better than he has been lately. We are 6-2. That doesn't mean I think we're playing like a typical 6-2 team; but it DOES mean I'm glad we're 6-2 because that will mean we haven't dug ourselves too deep a hole to get out of when we finally figure out a pass rush and this turnover bug. While I would put it on Smitty to try to fix our problems through patience and time, I trust Quinn to fix things by... fixing them. We'll see. But I am getting awful tired of this sloppy play. Remember, part of going 12-4 is FOUR LOSSES...
Mekias
A large number of fans can be irrational and bipolar when it comes to their favorite teams. Their moods and forum posts swing wildly with every win and loss. They tend to ignore common sense and logic and become extremely short-sighted. I know I'm vulnerable to it at certain points as well but then I'm able to calm down and try to look at the team with an unbiased view. I guess many fans aren't capable of doing that right away. It may take coming onto a message board like this and spewing a little vitriol in order to vent their anger. I try to ignore those types of posts but after tough losses, it can be particularly overwhelming. Edited November 2, 2015 by Mekias
