Ok ladies and Gentleman I'm going offon a tangent here.

Its could be seen as quite a big reach but I really believe if used properly this guy could have a big effect on our team while giving us a positive spin on the cap moving foward.

It seems to me the 9ers have got scared as he has made a couple of mistakes with punts and fumbles but I'm thinking given the right situation he can really do some some damage.

I know for a fact this guy has the natural born abilities to help our team wheather it be on ST's or as a 3rd down RB he just needs a chance. The Niners have got him on the inactive list at the moment.I think he could be worth looking at for a trade possibilty before the deadline.

It means its the end for Weems or possibly Hester but for me I'd love to see this guy given a legit shot and with the mentioned coming to the end or injured I don't see theres much to lose here but plenty to gain.

Cut two known properties for an unknown? One is the greatest returner in NFL history?

Yep if I'm looking for an answer going foward I'd seriously look at it.

I'm telling you now he just needs a legit shot.

The talent is there he just needs more opportunities.

I understand what we are offloading but to be fair both Weems and Hester are on the back sides of there respective careers we are going to have to address the return game at some stage why not now.

What was not legit about his time with the 9ers? Coming in his position he was required like so many before him to earn his spot on the field by adding value to STs. This isn't a forgiving league when you are barely on the roster. Besides, there is not enough film to determine what he is worth if anything.

Isn't it just as possible the guy would end up on our bench too?

He's interesting to be sure, but not worth trading for, and certainly not for a key cog for us. Weems is our ST captain, and Hester is, or will be when he returns, our returner.

They'd be trading us a player from their inactive list, so why would we give them more than that from us? That just seems like we're overpaying.

If we want to give them one of our fringe guys, then I'd be OK with it, b/c that's all he is for them anyway.

Nah, I'll pass --- we've got plenty of "fringe" players, already...

But this is it I don't think he's a FRINGE player.

I think legitimately this guy could be really good.

I understand alot of you guy's have a bit of angst towards a guy like this but for me regardless talent is talent and this guy ozzes it just needs a bit of time and some patience.

I realise Hester and Weems are good guys but going foward how much time do they really have both are in there 30's and Hayne's likely cap hit wil be in the $500 K area.

Ithink there is everything to gain here and not much to lose.

No x100000000000000000000000000

He can't even get the regular snaps for the FortyF***ingNiners

Hayne is all hype and no substance thanks to the Australian media who have no clue about the NFL.

He was signed as a publicity stunt and it hasn't worked out for him or the Niners.

3 fumbles already on punts, keep away.

Except you're wrong. He is.

You're trading a key player that we use every week, for one of their inactives, b/c of "potential."

He is the very definition of a fringe player.

You don't trade players that you use, for players that other teams don't. That's just bad business.

Then why is he not legitimately good for the niners? How is it they have mishandled him? Do you think if he were a normal UDFA he would still be on a team at all? At best he would be on a PS.

We have our own problems to overcome do you really want to give up easy scores to opponents because this guy might have potential at some point?

I didn't say the 9ers have mishandled him at all I just think there too conservative and are scared to give him a legit shot.I know you guys don't know and in alot of cases don't realise how much talent this guy has but trust me the switch to your sport was no publicity stunt. He wwanted to go as early as 2009-10 but had a few things to achieve in his own game before doing so.

When it comes to contact sport in our area of the world Jarryd Hayne is close to being the man if not the #1 player in either code Rugby or Rugby League and yes there different codes and it infurtiates me when I hear how ignorant some of the commentators that mention it on your TV are.

What? New Zealanders are not impartial?

For starters Hayne isn't a Kiwi New Zealander he is Fijian/Austrailian born in one of the rougher areas in Sydney.

So I'm not quite getting the impartial bit as New Zealanders and Australians sport wise hate each other with a passion.

My whole angle for getting Hayne is I truely believe if given a decent shot he could be really special and in his sporting career so far this is proven to be true.
