GrimeyKidd
Roddy open. Matt throws a BS ball to Julio. Its been like this for a long time. Ryan needs to trust his other receivers. Matt needs to stop eyeballing Julio its hampering the team.

HEIST
he didn't have time to go through his progressions there and julio had the DB turned around.. so he was open.
paulitik
He didn't have time to get to the other side of the field if Roddy was his 2nd or 3rd. If he had checked down to Roddy, he would've been sacked.
mattyicefalcon
more than trust....it's his overconfidence in Julio sometimes gets him in tough positions. He had Roddy white wide open for quick laser. Matt gets out of sync if he constantly gets blitz that's what elite D.C will keep doing

hjerry
I see him getting rid of it quick b/c the defense is in his face. You may have a point, but this play is him not having time for more than one read.
steeler6trophy
Shanahan ran a PERFECT clear out for the ball to go to Roddy..........good post.........

steeler6trophy
Bad example....Blitz with Julio one on one and it was for a 1st down.Actually, you made the case for the ball going to Roddy EVEN MORE SO. On a blitz, you throwing to the underneath routes. Roddy was crossing IN FRONT OF RYAN. Shanahan ran a clear out for Roddy. Ryan NEVER looked Roddy's way. maxatlanta
This play was nearly wrecked by our OL. We built an OL with an interior(LG C RG) of guys who are good at run blocking and poor at pass blocking. If we play to their strength it will help cover up their weakness. But we haven't done that the last couple of weeks.
mattyicefalcon
the ball was aimed to go for Roddy. Theres no excuses. Ryan has been out of sync and he better raise his game.
GrimeyKidd
You guys are saying he never had time. He never tried. Its obvious he was eyeballing Julio from the jump. He does it every play

BadMoonRising
From that play, with a DE almost kissing Ryan before it made it 3 yards back you use that play?Do you even watch football, he made the 1st read which clearly was Julio who had man on man.WOW, just WOW.So many easy plays to give Ryan a hard time, and you pick the one that makes you look silly. JDaveG
You guys are saying he never had time. He never tried. Its obvious he was eyeballing Julio from the jump. He does it every playIt's obvious Julio was his first read. That's probably based on the pre-snap look. This isn't a situation where Ryan had all day and just missed the open man. He hit the open man. The other open man didn't come up in the progression because you throw it to the first guy who's open.
ryanadonis
You guys go out there and play QB with that type of pass rush in your face. It was a great instinct play by Matt Ryan. Julio was saying to give him the ball no matter what, he got the ball

GrimeyKidd
All I'm saying is. Matt Ryan needs to make himself unpredictable. Its a shame that even as a Fan I can tell if hes staring down Julio on particular plays.

Matt gets out of sync if he constantly gets blitz that's what elite D.C will keep doingGoing from whats been said by Ryan and Julio, i think Julio is just as at fault. He is DEMANDING the ball. Ryan said that when Julio is covered, he is open. Ok, but you STILL take the EASY throw. When a clear out is run, that receiver is the FIRST read. He never looked at the underneath wide open easy throw to White. One thing we have all figured out about Shanahan's offense is the underneath routes are premium with him. mattyicefalcon
Brady with average oline, no RB's , multipled drops by WR ...carved up elite Jets defense. How? How can Ryan step his game up and play real championship football?
