Moore & Hankerson

Recommended Posts

It's time for Nick Williams. Every time he steps on the field we succeed.

I think he could end up the as our slot guy moving forward.

Quite frankly, Roddy has become a decent blocking TE. It is getting painful to watch him run. Very little burst and very little separation. Hank can still get open. Williams is a nice surprise. It cannot be long before we see Hardy active.

I will take a catch in tight coverage over a wide open drop any day.

I know matt needs to realize there is more then just throwing to Julio. Specially when Julio is dropping or just hard pressed in coverage by triple coverage.

Do you think that is a Shanahan scheme problem? Roddy being a 3rd checkdown is new. Seems to me that Shanahan's playbook is always "look for Julio". On the one hand, why not? He is the best. But someone else has to be open. Seems like Ryan tries force it to JJ. And, as someone else mentioned elsewhere, what happened to Matt adjusting at the LOS? IMO - as an OC, you take the talent you have and adapt your schemes to their strengths, rather than install your system and try to make them fit it. I think that is what the last regime did on Defense with Babs and Kroy. This year, they are both in better positions to make plays b/c they are in the right spots. Anyway, JMO................

More excuses. Even when we had a healthy Roddy, Julio, and HD Matt would force the ball to Tony G. in double and triple coverage. He has always locked onto 1 guy. We need to rely on the run game and let Matt kill teams with playaction. That has always been the winning formula for the falcons.

Hankerson was just another guy who was overhyped because he was new guy before he proved it on the field.

Shanny wanted his guys on the field but it has blown up in his face because a old 1000+ receiver is still better than a young receiver who can't stay healthy.

Never been that big on Willy, he whiffs on a lot of tackles. It's as if he goes for the highlight hit every time and if the ball carrier does a juke move, he whiffs and it turns into a big play and yes, he is always hurt. I want a hard hitting safety as everyone else does but, I also want one that it able to complete a tackle in the open field. Hank, well I don't know much about him other than he has a lot of drops.

Off subject, what is the deal with Hardy?

My goodness, we've hd three games where our oassingr attack has been off.

It's a new scheme and a new team, the adjustment period is finally here and they are working through it. Kyle has been off with his play calling, Matt has been off with his timing and throwing, oline has given up more pressure lately( it seems like ), we are dropping passes right now.

All these things will get straightened out. We couldn't just keep doing what we were good at. At some point we were going to have to work through he entire playbook.

Still a huge learning process. This team is still figuring out what it does well. Thankfully we have a big time run game ready to go with this passing attack when it comes back.

I have wondered that since the opening game. Maybe it was a strategic move by the FO to keep him out of the Taint or Yucs hands.

Hardy is not a superstar! (YET) It was obvious during the pre-season he would need time to adjust to the speed of the NFL. He dropped more passes than anyone during the pre-season.

Only 3 rookies flashed in pre-season enough to know they would have some impact in the regular season.

Vick Beasley

Coleman

Grady Jarrett
