Where The He! Is The Deep Pass.

This. Also our WR core behind Julio was being overrated this offseason.. Lots of talk about "deep", but it's deep with #3 WR's at best. Definitely will have changes in that area next year

I have high hopes for Hardy tho absolutely

.

We're deeper, but not as top heavy anymore. In years past we had a couple 9/10's in JJ and Roddy, and then maybe a 6 in HD and a bunch of nobodies. Now we have a 10 in JJ, and then a mess of 7's or so all the way down the chart. We definitely need another WR at some point, though I'm excited to see what Hardy can do next year when he has the playbook down.

Ok, so it takes a second for the ball to go from C to QB, another second for the QB to pull it back, and almost another second for him to release it.

We still rarely give Ryan 3 seconds back there, and in that situation you are asking to just blindly fire it downfield just for the sake of going deep... even if nothing's there and you are risking an easy INT.

I'd risk the interception to give our $100M receiver a chance go up for a ball and make a play. I mean why are they paying Julio all that money if they're not going to just chunk it up a few times a game and give him a chance to make a play? Isn't Julio suppose to be in the same conversation as guys like Metatron, A.J. Green and Larry Fitz? If so why don't we use him like it? Sure every once in awhile that kind of strategy will result in an interception but that's fine. It makes the defense have to respect the entire field. Right now teams don't have to worry about that against the Falcons. This Falcons offense is very easy to defend which is why we're struggling so much to score the last 3 games.

Matt has always distributed the ball well(julio, roddy, tony g.,&hand offs to turner), thrown all over the field, audibled, ran the no huddle well,& moved around well.

I dont know what's wrong with him or the offense. You would have to be a idiot to blame it all on him. Pass protection is bad, WRs dropping balls, tipped balls at the line(both on ryan‾,but good plays by the D) , playing calling,& a new system. I think a combo of all that. Hopefully we will get it fixed, but trashing Ryan isnt the answer.

i'm not seeing deep routes being run enough to know whether the OL could hold up long enough (i know Ryan can throw deep, previous years stats prove that).

Also, i've noticed that in this Offense, the only routes that have the QB hitting the WR on the move occur within 5-8 yards of the LOS. Everything beyond that has the WR turning back toward the QB and 'sitting down' in space. A lot of big yardage receptions made in the NFL are passes that were less than 20 yards + YAC. But those plays aren't possible given the types of routes ATL runs. the quick slants are nice, but asking WRs to add 30 yards of YAC to create a 35 yard pass play is asking too much.

The offensive line cannot pass protect that long

I would rather run the ball efficiently than go deep and risk an interception

Got to put that ball up in the air! People will call him capt. check down if he doesn't. Really, that will open up the offense in tight spots......gotta keep the other team's defense honest and thinking.
