Carter
This one surprised me. Two tough games back to back and this one was ugly.
Carter
ole miss 16 to 3.. ole miss controls their own destiny still.. amazing. Don't they need Alabama to lose one more still to have that tiebreaker? LSU would also have to lose twice, one being to Ole Miss.
Is This What You Want?
Don't they need Alabama to lose one more still to have that tiebreaker? LSU would also have to lose twice, one being to Ole Miss.No they don't need Bama to lose. ole Miss has 2 losses but only one in SEC. So if they win out they are in the sec champ game by virtue of beating the other 2 one loss sec west teams begin Bama and Lsu given that Bama wins out and Lsu loses to ole miss. Is This What You Want?
Overall record comes in as tie break AFTER sec record.
Is This What You Want?
A team can be 8-4 and still be in SEC champ game guaranteed if their wins are their sec games. The out of conference games only matter for tie breaks and bowl seeding/playoff implications.
Carter
You're right, I was thinking they had two conference losses for some reason.
Is This What You Want?
You're right, I was thinking they had two conference losses for some reason. No worries.Trust me, we both wish they had two losses. One to Ole Miss and other to UGA but unfortunatly only the cheaters were able to make that happen.
Monteg1026
Every time I see Texas A&M and Mizzou play I always have the same question. How did we end up with A&M and Mizzou how. Why we are the sec if had added Clemson and Oklahoma or anthor big 12 team that's good at baseball to keep Kentucky happy. Why how did we end up with Texas A&M were we at bar. Look Texas A&M was and still is a sec fight but Muzzou. Clemson North Carolina would fight.
UAB_DAWG
Getting a team from Texas blows up the SEC brand and footprint. It opens the door for recruiting the state for other sec programs and the fanbases share a similar passion for cfb. Since Texas was not willing to join up TAMU was an obvious choice. I'm still scratching my head over mizzou. Other than providing a natural rival for TAMU they just don't offer much imo. I would have liked to see an ACC team but I can understand the resistance to adding more natural rivals for some teams.
