ryanadonis
Plain and simple as the title states. STOP ******* AROUND with Roddy White and his catches. Stop ******* around with heavy play action passes. Just pound the ball, look for the open man and get first downs. We have seen the best offense this team can have, and it was vs the Cowboys in the 2nd half. Everything the Falcons did in that half offensively was perfect. They were down by 2 scores most of the game, but they mixed in a great combination of run and pass, not try to get cute, not try to fool anyone, and NOT cater to some drama BS that should have never happened. MACK4ttACK
Shannahan too much trust in his passing game, lost us a game with that. No man we need to run the ball.
Mattbob_Icepants
I do not think the press about Roddy has influenced play calling. I agree on that other part though.

I agree on that other part though.Well the fact that this offense has been a turn over machine since the comments has got me concerned. Matt Ryan could care LESS about Roddy White on the field vs the Cowboys and Texans, since the comments were made, now Ryan has to look for White. It was the most horrible thing Roddy White could have done to this team.I promise you, if the offense played at the level it did vs the Cowboys in the second half against the Redskins and Saints, we would be undefeated and Redskins game wouldn't have been close Edited October 23, 2015 by R_The_Great

There has been a shift in offensive play. Matt should keep looking for the open man in the progression. If Julio is open every tine throw it to him every time. TheFatboi
Exactly. Every other team is going to 1 target if they are open. AKA Ben Hall of Fame Watson. This is what I was trying to tell the crowd saying "throw it to roddy", "Roddy needs more playing time". F*ck that. If Julio is always open you always throw it to him. The object is to make the defense stop what's working and THEN you go somewhere else. This is simple football 101. It's not rocket science. I don't have to be stuck with one player that's not getting the ball. I'm not even in a fantasy league.
ryanadonis
I am not trying to start a Roddy vs World topic but the EVIDENCE is right in our faces. I watch that Cowboys game over and over, and I wonder WHO THE **** WAS THAT TEAM? Great playcalling, explosive run and pass plays. Smash mouth ZBS blocking. WHERE IS THAT NOW?"!!?"!?!?!?!!?!??! Oh well that's right Roddy need his catches so people can feel happy for him. CUT HIS ******* ***.
DownvoteDon
Go to the line expecting to run but be quick to change to play action pass. The Titans are actually average in pass defense, ranking in the middle to back of the pack in terms of yards per pass and quarterback rating. But they are poor against the run so they will be focused on stopping the run. If they stack the box, they will be particularly vulnerable with a starting corner out and a safety out or banged up.

Redskins and Saints have loaded the box only to have our passing game look like complete CRAP. Last year, all we had was passing, now all of the sudden, we can't pass. This year, we have an incredible running game, and YET, we have to cater to Roddy White and forget the production of everyone else. This leads to TURN OVERS and missed opportunities. I said, the Falcons offense was PERFECT vs the Cowboys in the 2nd half. They even carried their offense to the Texans game. Once Roddy White made his foolish comments on SIRIUS XM radio which is PROVEN evidence he did say something, the Falcons have been a TURN OVER MACHINE the past 2 games. blackredfellow
It's not like we weren't moving the ball well against the Saints. We should have had at least 10 more points if not for the fumbles. Those fumbles won't happen every game. I'm more concerned about our pass rush than I am about Roddy White "ruining" our offense. The problem was, the fact that there is too much confusion and hesitation. Instead of Matt Ryan knowing where to go after the ball is snapped, he is looking to see if Roddy is open first and THEN look to see where someone may be open

Falconsfan567
I don't see how anyone can think this is the case when there were times Roddy was open against the Redskins and Matt refused to throw him the ball.

R i feel lime you're making something outta nothing with the whole Roddy thing,. Almost as if you're buying in to the media hype. I could be wrong, but ever since those reports came out you started complaining about the team compromising itself just to get Roddy touches, yet he has what like under five total catches since then? Maybe ten targets? Edited October 24, 2015 by Atlfanstckndenver

Free Radical
The difference was Julio wasn't injured, nor was anyone on our line. The imagined controversy with Roddy has literally made zero difference in the last two weeks.
