falcon22
This is a good article and reminder to fans that this time, the team completely overhauled the offensive scheme, which is different to what happened in 2012. We need to be patient to have a better judgement of where the team is heading, there are good promising things we can see and things should improve with time for Matt Ryan and the rest of the offense: http://www.thefalcoholic.com/2015/10/21/9567641/whats-wrong-with-matt-ryan
Atlfanstckndenver
Nope. Matt Ryan is struggling to learn the offense. He's plateaued.
rollo lawson
No matter the offense, Matt Ryan needs to cut out those "wtf" interceptions.
Oldskooler
Nope. Matt Ryan is struggling to learn the offense. He's plateaued. It normally takes at least a year for an offense (not just the QB) to transition successfully to a WCO. Ryan is out-performing any QB in a transitional year that I remember. He is doing so with Julio "One-Leg" Jones (hamstring for past 3-4 games), Leonard "Captain Crisco" Hankerson (more drops than a cheap hooker's panties), Roddy "Geritol" White, and Jacob "I don't get a nickname" Tamme.Ryan is fine. All indicators point to an elite level of performance in 2016 from Ryan.
Da_Truth
New offense aside, Matt is making some boneheaded, rookie type mistakes (e.g., forcing throws, staring down receivers, lack of composure in the pocket, and not getting rid of the ball fast enough). These are not things you want to still see from an eight year veteran.
gazoo
All QBs make boneheaded throws. QBs in a brand new scheme with a bunch of brand new players and brand new coaches typically make a higher percentage of boneheaded throws than do those in stable systems that have been in place for multiple years. QBs who have to focus on the ball snap rather than the field presnap are going to make boneheaded throws becuase they cannot focus on what they need to focus on presnap, it's a huge disadvantage. All QBs make boneheaded throws. Those are valid points about the snaps and stable offensive systems, but the things I mentioned are fundamental to any QB. Ryan has been making these same mistakes since he came in the league. For once I'd like to see consistency in Ryan's game and not the same mistakes year after year.

He is doing better than you can ask for at this point. Year 2 is when the QB's really get this offense under their belt, it's crazy the difference. Ryan is incredibly intelligent so I expect we'll see that improvement quicker than most, as he already has progressed in this offense quicker than most
