Our Strength Of Schedule And Strength Of Victory

Recommended Posts

Our Strength of Schedule and Strength of Victory are better than the Packers, Panthers, Broncos, and Bengals, but the narrative will be we have a weak schedule and we got lucky to be 5-1. This is not to say analyst and pundits are not right about us, but funny how the narrative changes when they discuss other teams.

SOS and SOV are the same number for undefeated teams.

Patriots SOS/SOV .435

Falcons SOS/SOV .394/.407

Packers SOS/SOV .314

Bengals SOS/SOV .314

Panties SOS/SOV .310

Broncos SOS/SOV .294

Absolutely and Cam Newton "willed his team to victory" even though the laptop stealing thug played like **** and his defense beat up on a pathetic shell of a Seahawks team to bail his narcissistic *** out.

Stop hating on Newton. Guy's a home product. Excellent football player. He's even a Falcons fan and roots for us when not playing us. I like Newton.

Just learned something. Where'd you hear this?

Cam Newton still a Falcons fan

Cam Newton says he still roots for the Atlanta Falcons even though his Carolina Panthers play in the same division.

"I've always been a Falcons fan, and I'm still a Falcons fan except for those two times a year [when the Panthers play Atlanta]," Newton, who grew up in Atlanta, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Saturday.

Newton was asked the question after his foundation's Fun Day at a YMCA in Atlanta.

Newton is 1-3 against the Falcons in his two seasons with the Panthers and registered his first victory against his hometown team last December. In a 30-20 win, he threw for 287 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for a career-best 116 yards and a touchdown. He said after that game that he plays with a "chip on his shoulder" when he plays the Falcons.

His father, Cecil, told The Charlotte Observer on Monday that Panthers fans shouldn't worry that his son isn't giving his best effort when he plays the Falcons.

"Obviously with Cam, in addition to several other Panthers who have roots from Atlanta and Georgia, it's always one of the most competitive games on that schedule," Cecil Newton told the newspaper. "That's obvious, and Cam is going to assert every ounce of energy that he has."

Cecil Newton compared his son's comments to those of Miami Heat star LeBron James, who has said he wishes his home-state Cleveland Cavaliers, his former team, the best.

"Why wouldn't Cam want to express who his hometown favorite team was when he was growing up? It means no more or no less," Cecil Newton told the newspaper. "Some of his best performances came during Falcons games."

I don't like Cam, but he played well in that game. He found open receivers and kept the chains moving in critical situations. He's a solid performer, A Dyck for sure, but a good player.

A lot of people forget this. The guy is from College Park. He's about as true to Atlanta as it gets. He can't help that Carolina drafted him. Not everybody gets to be Vic Beasley and be drafted by the team that you grew up rooting for.

Cam has a very heavy charity presence in ATL he does most of his stuff here - a few friends of mine work for him. He is a big kid, immature etc for sure but not a bad guy at all. and works very hard at getting better at QB. Nobody thought he would make it in NFL and now hes doing it with no weapons a Mike Oher on the oline. Greg olson is good but lets be real, some days he doesnt do anything at all. Cam can act like a punk about competition hes very competitive - he is hardly a thug. He is a top 10 Qb now. He makes too many plays and helps his team too much not to be. And he is a huge falcon fan, his organization has a suite and his family and friends go to all the home games as all his people support the birds and give away tickets to the games.

Why does this mean we have to like him? He a quarterback for a rival team. Y'all can suck his **** all you want, I hope he fails miserably for the rest of his career and gets laughed out of the NFL. Then he can come be a cheerleader for ATL.
