atlking
Wow. There must be a hundred threads about how much it "hurt" to lose to the Saints. Its gotten to MYTHICAL proportions. Its gotten to the point where one must wonder " what are the Saints? Who are the Saints? Are they some superhero, legendary, mythical, marvel comic, super squad that the Falcons cannot beat??????? Let it go. They are just ANOTHER NFL team. The Falcons can beat them. They can defeat them............... AF89
Cmon man you have to know this thread isn't going to help that. For another we still have like FOREVER between us and the Titans. It was a very emotional loss to our most hated rivals.. We'll move on....

RunningThePiszOuttaTheBall
You are right, man. The Saints are just another team. A team that is truly outstanding for a number of years, a dynasty -- which is what we all want our Falcons to become -- does not give any opponent "special status." All this Saint angst is the sign of a weak, fearful mindset. It's the same mentality that causes an athlete to choke. It's letting an opponent have a special ability to get under your skin. Truth is, if we consistently scheme well, draft well, prepare well and play well, we can control our own destiny and become the great team we want to be. No opponent has any special ability to stop it ... not even the hated Saints. They're just another F-ing team who beat us on any given Sunday. We will learn from it, "correct" some things, and get right back on the road to greatness that we're already on. Jeez, TAFT, get a F-ing grip. DurtyBurdz155
To be honest, I let it go Friday Morning. We are still in a great position, now we need Seattle to do what they do best....win at home.
Madness21
Exactly. Its more embarrassing how everyone is crying, than actually losing. I'm sure the Saints fans are all over the board just to see how bad they've hurt us. Why give them the satisfaction. Ok, we just gave them the biggest win they'll have all season. We'll murder them the 2nd game. Its not a big deal.

I'm so disappointed in so many people that post on here. one loss where we did everything in our power to give this game away and they crying. don't nobody need to be fired, we don't need this guy or that guy. all we need is to not make mistakes when we're in position to score. common sense should tell you that if Ryan was sacked 6 times in the first 4 games and sacked 8 times the last 2 games when the starting center got hurt that maybe the backup isn't that good at calling protections. and if teams can't run the clock out running the ball our defensive line apparently ain't that weak. we'll have both Person and Durant back next game, and hopefully we've learned to lean on the run game a little more and we're all good. mjqvi
I get the hurt but I don't really look at the rivalry with the Aints the way I did 20 years ago. I find myself more and more wanting to beat the Panthers. Likely due to the proximity of the cities. Those two teams have way more in common these days. falconfansince66
HEY! We still have a rematch with them again in a few weeks in OUR HOUSE! We will ultimately get our revenge on them just like we will get last year's revenge on the "Embarrassment" with the Panties last year. Tuggle'2
Alright ... for every one type of thread there is another saying this. I gotta hand it to the contrarian that stays with the shtick so well that they will even come out and be the reasonable one when everyone else is the whiny babies. birdz4i
Funny, I don't recall any tears being shed over the lossmust be a selective memory thing. cause there has been plenty of people crying like school girls around here. like the ones crying "quinn doesn't care enough about a rivalry". falconfansince66
Okay, so we just lost our first game to a divisional opponent. We also have to remember, Carolina plays Seattle this weekend and will likely lose their first game. All we have to do is outwin them this year and we're IN (even if we split in the conference). Remember, they also will play the Packers this year.. :-)

Falcons306
Thursday night for me. It's not like we've never lost to the saints (we own the all time record with them) but we'll get them next time!Exactly, chances are we weren't going to go undefeated. Plus Quinn is only in his first year of turning this thing around. They have far exceeded my expectations so far this year.
toadfishtom
Your right its just a loss, just 1 loss ,no more , no lessIts amazing how some really negative posters seem to enjoy the first loss of every yearThey immediately begin predicting doom and gloomLol.
